Bit fortunate imo as I don’t think it hit his arm but if you stick your arm up like that in the penalty area you’re giving the officials a decision to make.

Harsh pen. His arms are high which can always be an issue but it hits his side. VAR still getting things wrong.

People on about Wolves cheating by wasting time etc but seems City’s tactic is give it to Sterling to run and fall over in the box. He always give that innocent puppy look when he does it.

Ya Nine, there are times when you’ll have your arms up (for jumping etc) but he is making himself big there to block the ball… so ya, yer not a keeper, penalty.

I do think it hits his arm though lads. I wouldnt bet my house on it but ya.

For VAR to overule the penalty decision it has to be a clear and obvious error by the Referee I’m not sure the ball hit his arm but difficult to say it was a clear and obvious error by Moss.

Ya, one thing that is clear to me is the player was making himself big, instead of having his arms in a natural position.

So whatever about the rules (and you are right about them BTW), I think the defender was foolish and has cost his team. So did Jimenez, who basically threw the entire match.

City not quite at the races today and despite their domination it was a fortunate win thanks to the penalty but they all count.

I’m not sure about the criticism of Wolves they are not equipped to go toe to toe at the Etihad with City but they dug in and were very organised defensively and were very difficult to break down despite only having 10 men.

Ya, I could have another look at it but I think it hits his arm. If he werent trying to schmeichel himself up a bit, I’d give him the benefit of the doubt but ya, they are wrong IMO.

Anyway, time for Gerrards return to Anfield. Hope the crowd give him a heroes welcome and then batter Villa 😀

I think that is just about a penalty.

Im not too bitter that they havent given it, as there is room for doubt.

Robertson definitely feels hard done by, as he’s now playing with that Scottish anger.

Good enough game so far, just a worry that there will be a red card at some stage.
