19/20 comparison made, but that was different as we had different players back then. Competitiveness was different.
I just think if anything, we’ve over-achieved slightly.

Finished on a 12 hour; extremely busy. Just looked at online sites elsewhere and I am so glad no other Liverpool fan in majority is buying too much into this Title Talk. Pep wins 3 matches on the bounce and before you know it, people will start to think a little differently or entirely change their tune.
I do see similarities to us in the way they play the high line and their midfield being overrun; Gundogen past his peak. No De Bruyne as a Regular; Bernardo too much responsibility to contain; wide men needed.
Gunners and Chelsea look threatening you have to take them as serious.

Amorim does not want fans to chant his name at all but rather the players, I think this is a great characteristic and very unusual of mainline European coaches/managers especially Portuguese, German, Spanish and Dutch coaches who love to bask in personal glory. It has been a good night for Chelsea; we have scored 5 goals, again another goal for Palmer; also, Sancho scored his first goal for the club; Nkunku scored; and Madueke scored. I can’t complain. we are on the right track to challenge in the top 4. Talk of us being in the title race is rubbish. It’s Liverpool’s title to lose. Despite their draw, it was a good point for them. It’s always very tough to play Newcastle away. They have a 7-point lead. City also drawn there; Arsenal lost. So it’s not the end of the world to draw at St. James Park. If I were a Liverpool fan, I would be happy with this point.
It’s still very early to talk, yes, but as things stand, it’s Liverpool’s title to lose, and I can’t see them losing unless they have a catastrophic collapse. As long as they keep Salah and VVD, they will be fine.

Well, Liverpool played well; you don’t score 3 goals away to Newcastle if you are not playing well. Use your title competitors as a benchmark; how have they fared when they went to St. James Park? City drawn, Arsenal lost. Liverpool have a world-class player in Salah and a world-class defender in VVD, and that will be in their favour. The Leaders in this Liverpool team have done it and know how to win, while the City team is aging and the Arsenal team has yet won anything. If I were a Liverpool fan, I would be optimistic about the future. It’s now or never for Liverpool.

If Arsenal do win the league then surely their set piece coach wins the coach of the season award?
The draw feels like a defeat because we conceded an easily avoidable goal in the last few minutes but ask most fans before they’d have taken a draw. It’s not an easy place to visit as young blue described.
It’s way too early, we need to look at the table in February to see who is challenging. If we do fail to win I am sure the rivals with bask in it saying how we claimed being champions after 13 games etc but I’ve not seen a single LFC fan say this, it’s all media rubbish.
“Best defence will win the league”. Not really, best defending might do however, as in the whole team defends as a unit. You could have peak Maldini and Baresi as a CB pair wouldn’t mean anything if your midfield is carved open all the time. That isblargely down to how the team is set up.

Pretty much echo my thoughts from last night and Sean’s. 11 points or 9 points now trimmed down to 7. We draw at Everton and Spurs, that’s another 4 points dropped. The fixtures and the sequence of these can leave this impact if we don’t keep winning. Both Chelsea and Arsenal on very good form and a threat.
So-called pundits etc are provocative. It’s annoying but you just have to push it to one side and maintain level-headed.
Last goal was an error from Kelleher, but he’s human and he’s done so well for us in the absence of Alisson. We do need players back. The real good signs is our hunger and evidence from yesterday that we didn’t lie down and almost won all 3 points coming from behind.
Need a bit of a reset coming Saturday in ensuring we come away with a clean sheet. 3 goals is a little too many to be leaking.
