Interferes with active play, in other words the force of the illegal contact makes the players stumble or fall, that’s far different from feeling a slight bit of contact and throwing yourself to the ground. In my opinion none of the last few penalties should have been so, what we’re seeing is the start of a one way trip to a non contact sport, the decision on what is and isn’t a foul has to be taken now before it’s too late…..Pagan

Sean, by the laws of the game it’s no penalty as it didn’t interfere with active play, it’s the others that need looking at, I don’t think anyone can look at any of the recent incidents and not agree that the players threw themselves to the ground. I’m not sure how we’ve got to the state of play we’re at now where any contact in a contact sport is deemed foul play. Maybe put some grass root players in Stockley Park to assist the so called experts…..Pagan

I had quite a lengthy encounter yesterday early morning with a customer who happened to have been an Everton fan. Best solution we agreed on is get rid of that guy at Stockley Park and get rid of Stockley Park input altogether.
Leave everything to the Referee and his Pitch Side Monitor. Between him and the Lines-people along with changing the silly rules would fix this all.

Sean,no need for any sorrys mate you guys discuss whatever you want although tbh I’m not sure I can take another 3/4 days of discussion on the vagaries of VAR repeated on a weekly basis.😊
VAR is now discussed on here even more than the football which imo is a shame but that’s just my opinion.
Even pre VAR there was always inconsistencies there always was and there always will be when humans are making judgement calls based on what they see/what they think they see.😊

Pagan, yes mate, I was by the Watermead area not too far away from Thurmaston. I didn’t know until I got back home, how much I walked but need to do this more often as advised by the Doc. I’m in 2 minds with Gyms – see how the next couple months pan out. Rain’s cleared up now on our side.

Pagan, yes mate, could do with shedding a few pounds. Walking’s not a bad idea as it’s easier to fit round work. I’m trying to avoid using the car all the time, and a good habit to get into.
