Comfortable win. Should have been more – missed three ‘1 on 1s’ again and KdB hits the bar.
There was (minimal) contact but Sterling going down too easily for the pen. I don’t like to see it but in this day and age, will, more often than not, get a penalty and VAR won’t overrule it.
Looking much better defensively and good to see Stones getting some game time – Dias looks class.
Another three points and now within touch of the front runners._____________________________

5th December 2020 at 5:26 pm #171496With same games, just 3 points adrift but a long long way to go.
I would play all todays subs in the CL game plus 4 from day rotating, giving a rest to KDB, Sterling, Diaz etc and perhaps if fit play Ake.
Utd on the other hand have to go to Germany and not lose so no rest for their players.
Having said all that when it comes to the game its all out of the window._____________________________

5th December 2020 at 5:51 pm #171498Adlab, United have a very tough game in midweek v Leipzig with all outcomes possible and United will have to go to Leipzig with a full strength squad whilst City can send an Academy squad to Marseille.😊
It may or may not have an effect on the outcome at OT in the Derby but the benefit is definitely with City.

5th December 2020 at 6:20 pm #171499Really poor from United in such a potentially big week for Ole I suspect United won’t be quite as bad in the second half.

5th December 2020 at 6:32 pm #171500“Millwall and Derby players were met with boos when taking a knee in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement as fans returned to the Den on Saturday.
For the first time since March, as many as 2,000 supporters were allowed to attend stadiums based in tier two locations, which included London.
Teams across the country have, since competitive football restarted in June, been showing their support for the anti-racism movement ahead of kick-off.
In addition, EFL clubs have the message ‘Not Today or Any Day’ on their shirts for awareness of the ongoing campaign against all forms of discrimination
With Millwall opening their doors for the first time since the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement, both teams were met with boos from the 2,000-strong support and shouts of “get up” as they took a knee.
The FA condemned the incident, releasing a statement which read: “The FA supports all players and staff that wish to take a stand against discrimination in a respectful manner, which includes taking of the knee, and strongly condemns the behaviours of any spectators that actively voice their opposition to such activities.” Standard. 5/12

5th December 2020 at 7:21 pm #171507Man Utd at least have some kind of game plan that is effective a lot of the time hence the players can buy into it, even if it isn’t always successful. That’s keeping Ole alive. But at what point do they make the change?

5th December 2020 at 7:26 pm #171508I think this is more of United’s nature; their new way to deliver. It’s not wrong as there’s 90 mins and you don’t have to necessarily be the team on the front foot.
Maybe back to front from what United in the past have been used to for both them as a Prestige Club and Supporters, but there’s Positive Results at the end of it and now once again, they’re above Man City with 6-1-3.
Would be interesting what comes from next week’s derby and they along with Tottenham could be the Darkhorses that challenge Liverpool to this season’s Premier League Title.

5th December 2020 at 7:37 pm #171509No idea Mikus. We can’t keep relying on second half comebacks, as good as this one was too. I suspect the Utd board are slightly panicking at the thought of losing Poch to Madrid but Ole is making it difficult for them to sack him, at least every other week!
3 very good goals though today. 2 season defining games coming up now for Utd. Would happily take a point in each right now. City will likely have too much for us at OT. Would actually rather be facing them away. We can’t seem to get a win at home at the moment.

5th December 2020 at 8:37 pm #171513AnonymousI didnt see any of the Utd game but congrats on the comeback. I saw a clip of the Millwall fans and you know… they’ve always been the scum of the earth, why should they change now? At what point do they just kick a club out of the league? Every time I hear about them it’s something to do with hooligans, racism, violence etc. They are nothing but a stain on the modern game.
