Last night’s game was just a one off nonsense ruined by decision making and VAR and 23 minutes extra time.
IMO VAR should be limited. If they cannot conclude in say 3mins then you stay with the onfield decision.
I keep saying it….VAR in its present form is ruining the game. There is more controversy than ever. That’s all that is talked about. I also think that VAR is undermining already poor referees to the extent they are frightened to make proper decisions I know it will continue but it needs a real revamp with proper operators.

To me the worst thing of all is the ridiculous handball rules. I come back to Grealish in last season’s Cup Final. That’s never a penalty. And so many more.

I’d have to disagree with you on Oliver I’m afraid.

Last night’s game was just manic. Fans didn’t know whether they were coming or going. From one scenario alone, there was a breakdown of multiple incidents.

VAR from that point of view clearly did their job whether right or wrong in observation and bringing to the attention of Michael Oliver. He has to manage 22 players on the pitch which yes is his job to and he I’m sure is trained and examined for his competency, not to mention deal with incoming communications from VAR and thousands of fans. I do agree with you on Anthony Taylor, but always felt with Michael Oliver he keeps his cool and is professional.

Still one of my personal favourites. Unfortunately too, we don’t seem to have many good officials on the circuit and we are I feel in need of given how fast the game has grown in recent times.

Definitely not one for criticizing Ange. Far from it.

Always difficult when you’re down to 9 men. He’s now having to deal with injuries which I believe is his nemesis when he came into the job because of inherited a thin squad and needing more quality in depth to cover key positions.

Should definatly critise Ange.

Down to 9 men but at 1-1 and you still put your defensive line on the half way line knowing the opposion now how 2 men spare and have time to ping balls over for very fast forwards to run onto! It was one of the worst tactical displays I think I’ve seen in the PL.

If Chelsea had better fowards it could have been a record score.
