Edinson Cavani First Impressions and by nature is Real. Goals will come. Thing is, there’s all this Involvement of Recent History and Similar Patterns, ala Example of Falcao.
Some Players just simply wanna Lace Up their Boots and Give It Their All By Nature.

29th November 2020 at 10:25 pm #171217Just saw the news if united lost today Ole would have been gone according to a reliable sports pundit on cnn but then again it is also a very dishonest station but it could be true, imagine having to work under that kind of pressure.

29th November 2020 at 10:25 pm #171218I think Jose has undoubtedly instilled his mentality into the Spurs team now. But do they have enough matchwinners in the squad to win the big trophies? I know theyβve signed Bale but is the fact he didnβt feature today not telling that Jose doesnβt trust him yet? Also heβs been injury prone for sometime now. Iβd just worry the most exciting part of Baleβs story this season was the day he resigned. If Spurs had got the Bale of old, you really could see them doing something special this season.

30th November 2020 at 1:04 am #171220AnonymousIf a manager of a massive club like Utd really must beat (an admittedly good in fairness but still…) Southampton, then you should be firing him in the morning regardless. I’m not taking away from Southampton’s win or their quality this season but my point is that the bar is quite a bit higher than that and if it’s really come to this one game, it’s already gone past it.

30th November 2020 at 4:42 am #171221AnonymousAfter frustratingly watching Abraham’s disaster show yesterday I agree with the millions he should be sold to a championship club.

Arteta has lost the team and keeps playing underperforming players like willian and xhaka
No creativity no goals no fight no spirit ….. and to make it worse spuds are the top and about to slaughter us in the next game …._____________________________

30th November 2020 at 9:29 am #171225Moos, I am torn on Tammy, on the one hand I want him starting as many games as possible to aid his development but on the other hand for the biggest games I want to maximise our chances of getting a result. I wanted giroud to start yesterday and disappointed he didn’t I think he would have scored given the chances James provided for Tammy.

30th November 2020 at 9:45 am #171226I also believe Giroud would have scored all those pinpoint headers Abraham missed or at least direct them towards the goals, Tammy is 24 now I think so his basically past development age though of course you never stop learning anything in life.

30th November 2020 at 10:25 am #171227I said it last season when he was scoring a fair few goals and I stand by it now. Tammy Abraham, in my opinion, is not cut out to be a top striker at the level Chelsea want to be at. He’s decent but nothing more than that. He’s always reminded me of Danny Welbeck. Not a bad squad player but just not enough to his game to be first choice at this level. Not meant as an insult either. I quite liked Welbeck π

30th November 2020 at 10:35 am #171228AnonymousI know what you mean. I kinda had the same feeling about Sturridge when we signed him. Thought he’d come in and do a job but not brilliantly. Of course in his case, it was injuries that held him back. When we got him to play for any extended times, I saw that he had it all. Kinda funny in a way though isn’t it? How you can have a perception of a player and then later on due to getting properly familiar with them, you realise you were completely wrong. Salah comes to mind too! π

30th November 2020 at 10:52 am #171229There is no doubt Tammy needs to improve a substantial amount to be at the level we really desire, I can’t write him off completely because he is an academy player I really want to succeed, but the level required us so high if we want to achieve it we will have make some tough decisions again at the end of this season.

30th November 2020 at 2:14 pm #171232I remember very well last season when the Ed and I discussed whether Tammy would make it at Chelsea or not I still hope he does unfortunately though he’s currently dropping a bit short and this is a new Chelsea team with big ambitions now with a lot of top players who joined in the Summer.
Personally I would like to see Werner through the middle flanked by a fully fit Pulasic and Ziyech if not I can see Chelsea buying big again for a number nine in the Summer.

30th November 2020 at 2:59 pm #171235I definitely think Chelsea should persevere with him. He’s got plenty of time to become a top striker. If nothing else, he’s a very good option off the bench. My only point is that I don’t think he’ll ever be good enough to be Chelsea’s main striker.
Worst case scenario, you sell him for Β£20mil or so which goes a long way towards financing a top signing in that position. That’s the beauty of having a strong academy, whether the players make it all the way or not.

30th November 2020 at 3:07 pm #171236Considering how many sides need a top number 9 within the next year or so (Utd, Chelsea, City, Liverpool?, Madrid?, Juve? Bayern), just how much will young Haaland be worth? There could be a real scramble for him when his clause is activated in 2022,if not before.

30th November 2020 at 3:18 pm #171237Re tammy,
Last season 25 PL appearances (9 as sub) 15 goals 3 assists
This season 6 PL appearances (3 as sub) 3 goals and 1 assist
So 22 goals/assists in 33 games is without question PL standard.
None of this can excuse that he clearly needs to improve in the big games, but it certainly justifies the chances he has been given and the faith we gave put in him at such a young age

30th November 2020 at 3:30 pm #171239Re his last season stats seen here:
https://www.transfermarkt.com/tammy-abraham/leistungsdaten/spieler/331726/saison/2019/wettbewerb/GB1
It’s very clear that his stats are very weighted towards the first 3rd of the season (a purple patch or the real Tammy?). In his last 22 league games last season, he got 5 goals. You can also see his minutes tail off significantly as Lampard appeared to lose faith in him after the restart.
