What is the rationale for 2-0 though? If people think Chelsea should have scored more, fine but Liverpool should have had none? In what scenario should we not have had at least 1 goal (potentially more)?
There is no possible situation where Liverpool shouldnt have had at least 1 goal. We had a certain goal saved on the line by an outfield player. If you want to argue the point, I’d love to hear it. If you want to link me some experts arguments, then again, I’d love to hear it.
Should that somehow not have been a goal for us?
Also, this other goal Chelsea definitely should have had (even more than Liverpools absolutely stone cold goal). What was so incredible about it that it absolutely should have been? Should have been more than Hendo’s total fluff? I’d also wonder if we created more chances int he opening half also. I havent checked the stats, so I could be wrong but I think this “should have been 2-0” stuff is (no offense mate) nonsense.

I so far cant find stats for the first half but are we suggesting that Liverpool got all of those shots int he 2nd half? Most, probably, with the longshots when we were out of ideas but these 2 first half goals chelsea definitely should have had, came from 90 mins with only 6 efforts.

Why do you feel the need argue for a final verdict here? be secure in your own opinion mate.
My opinion based on yesterday is chelsea will finish above pool this season and are the superior team. Full House at anfield and pool at their best, we take your best shots then take the lead, a lead we could have doubled.
You can have a complete opposite opinion to that no worries mate, but don’t worry so much about the opinions of others just accept it as a different opinion. After all the final league standings will not he based on opinion and I will be here in May for you to tear me a new one if you finish above us mate π

Bit of a stretch to say either team is better than the other based on yesterdays game. It was just 1 game in a long season. Also if it had been liverpool at their best, it would have been a clean sheet and a 3 goal margin or greater in their favour. Credit goes to chelsea for not letting us play our best.

Agreed and to be clear, Im not making a case for saying Liverpool are the better team, though I stand by the winning at home comment. Chelsea are a real beast this season but I think if you’re writing liverpool off after yesterdays game, you might be in for a rude awakening. Key word being “might”, don’t quote me on it.

Exactly Harry you think that by default if pool are at best they win comfortably at home and conversely if they don’t win comfortably they could not possibly have been at their best. Its circular logic that begins by assuming that which you are arguing for.
