Arsenal clearly made a massive mistake with Arteta. An enormous gamble. A throw of the dice.
What was even more stupid than that, though, was keeping him on and giving him tons of money to spend when it’s so obvious he’s a fraud of a manager.

Elliott starts!! woah
I’ve been talking him up a lot lately but wow, Im surprised. I guess Thiago isnt quite ready. This level of game might come a bit soon for Elliott but I trust that Klopp knows, having watched him against pour own lads in training.
I have to say that I love this live-up. Obviously a fully fit Thiago starts but besides that, we’ve no excuses if we cant at least put a performance in. Nearly back to full strength is such a warm feeling. It’s been so long.

I think the Arsenal board set this all in motion thinking they were being sensible by spending a lot on young players and that it would all bear fruit under a very young manager who could develop them. Whilst changing the manager may help, any incoming big name manager with big ambition is immediately going to want to spend some money on talent that’s already been developed, so the board would have put their gear in reverse, which they won’t really want to do having spent the money already. I note Brendan Rodgers & Eddie Howe are favourites to be the next Arsenal manager ahead of Conte, so the bookies are reflecting this.

Would Rodgers want to leave Leicester for this? Maybe Leicesters ambition isnt quite as good as Rodgers might want and vardy is getting well on now too but Arsenal is a trainwreck. it would take some incredible work to turn them around.

Be interesting to see if City can play a whole season again without a striker Brian clearly Pep didn’t want to and the competition to City is broader and better this season City are still a great team so I wouldn’t rule it out but bigger tests lie ahead for this City team.
Great result and you can’t argue with two 5 Nils but they are two very poor teams defensively and City lost 1 nil to both Leicester and Spurs which they may not have done playing with a top striker.
City though have quality all over the pitch I couldn’t help thinking whilst I was watching the game what the score might have been had KDB been playing alongside a top striker?๐

Correct call with the penalty and red. Feel bad for James as he is really only reacting with instinct. he hasnt time to think about the consequences but he did move his arm to save that on the line.
