Who contested what mak?
Here I am all excited with my teams chances thinking we can win the league and could be the best team, but I know that may not happen and reality may prove otherwise.
With you and Harry I get the sense you believe Liverpool are the best team and that if it doesn’t turn out that way it is not because you were wrong, it was because circumstances conspired to prevent pool being at their best because of course at their best they would sweep anyone aside right?
That’s what I was arguing against not the notion that if one team plays better than another they win, that was just self evident and irrelevant.

Lucky I’m going to try and clear the air as I clearly haven’t explained myself very well.
I made a hyperbolic point about if liverpool play their best they should win, keep clean sheets and score a few goals. That does not mean it is my expectation every single game, or that things are “conspiring against us” if it doesn’t happen, you are putting words in my mouth at this point.
I suggest you celebrate your well earned point that proves chelsea are better than liverpool, but stay grounded in the knowledge that one other team might beat you to the title, but it certainly won’t be liverpool.

This is you contesting it, unless of course you’re suggesting that what we saw from Chelsea yesterday was them at their absolute best. Of course though, you arent because in the same discussion you’re saying that you’ll finish ahead of us. So correct me where I’m wrong.

not against every team mate it doesn’t, your best is not as effective against teams like Chelsea as it is against weaker teams obviously. You can be at your best against a good team but not look it because the other team is also at their best. You seem to think thar if pool haven’t blown a team away then it logically follows pool could not have been at their best and I think that’s a flawed way of looking at things.
Harry, for 3 years or more I have done nothing but give pool all the credit they deserve while hoping my team can challenge you. All I am saying is I have seen enough to believe we can now so enough of kissing your arse we are coming for you! π
For clarity I still think city are favourites but really believe Chelsea have a chance and our performance yesterday has given me more confidence.

This strawman argument is shameful stuff man. I won’t engage with it only to say that I was also arging the same buy from Chelsea’s point of view. i literally did exactly that. Also, it’s about a single match scenario, so you’re really stretching here to suggest that this could happen over a season. What team plays to their absolute peak every game? ZERO and nobody made such a claim except you.

I for one am happy Chelsea are taking their seat back at the big table. The competition in the league is immense, long may it continue as long as Liverpool remain in the mix.
