In comparison to last week which really did define shocks and surprises, is this week (looking at the fixtures) going to be more straight-forward in predicting?

15th December 2023 at 6:30 am #211366Arsenal v Brighton will be an interesting battle on Sunday Nil, as will Brentford v Villa. Saturday should be all straightforward home wins. Reckon I’ll turn ny tv off on Sunday after the earlier games 🙄.

15th December 2023 at 1:08 pm #211370I will absolutely never take anything for granted. We haven’t been playing great but getting results. It’s the biggest game of the season and we can not get in anyway be complacent

15th December 2023 at 2:45 pm #211371Ed, yeah I think Sean and I are cut from similar cloths (probably from all the unwanted shocks down the years!🙉)
I’ve seen that there’s 18 players on the injury list, but even in spite of that, I just don’t feel sure of ourselves and rightly so.
Cant take this for granted at all. We ourselves need to make sure we’re ready. 3 points is what I’ll be happy and thankful for if we win. ⚽️💯👍🏻

15th December 2023 at 5:00 pm #211373Chucks haha. I’ve heard apparently behind the scenes, ETH has fell out with certain players etc. It’ll be interesting to see the line ups. Nothing straight-forward as we ourselves have injuries.

15th December 2023 at 8:03 pm #211375The aggregate score between Liverpool and Utd at Anfield over the last 10 seasons is 36-2. If you can’t go into this game feeling confident then you never will!
Utd probably sneak a win somehow now!
Villa and maybe Everton the only likely away wins, strong home advantage this weekend.

15th December 2023 at 9:13 pm #211376Three p’s realistically, we have advantage at home, but from my personal POV, I’m looking at us from an Angle I will always cite as one example where we have depreciated is Mane. He was the main man. We don’t have him.
17 or so months from the double winning of Cups Circa 2022, we’ve had a significant amount of movements in Players. I wish I could say “oh 6-0 no problem”. Nunez isn’t firing and Jota’s out. I know Mo turns up without fail on the big occasion, but we’re playing a wounded animal and our arch rivals and nothing in this league is a Given.

16th December 2023 at 6:57 pm #211379That’s it Threeps. Absolutely dreading this game. Can’t see any way in which Utd get anything from it the way we’re playing. We can’t blame injuries. We’d have no chance with a fit squad anyway with this lot.

16th December 2023 at 7:58 pm #211380Ed, I hate the over confidence from all areas. To much noise in how we should win easily. Never ends that way.
Adlab, why wasn’t Ederson sent off today?

17th December 2023 at 10:53 am #211382Just need to pick a good fit first 11 and deliver a solid performance. Forget form guide, rivalries, the current situation etc. Treat Manchester United with Respect and be Professional.

17th December 2023 at 10:54 am #211383Yeah, that was a Surprise. But it’s then up to other teams to capitalize and win their own Matches. Maybe a Man City mad run is still in waiting.

17th December 2023 at 12:21 pm #211384Never ever write city off mate. Kdb back aswell. A 10/12 gap to city is nothing. You would wanna be over 20 points ahead of them to feel really comfortable

17th December 2023 at 12:43 pm #211385Sean, KDB has left a big hole and will be integral when he returns. He will of course need matches to reinstate himself properly.
It’s interesting even with Pep buying Kovacic and forming a more defensive set up, even with the array of attacking players, he’s missing the flair of Gundo and Mahrez. Good guys. Combination of those with KDB bring goals.
They positioned their press high up so goals were coming from close range.
Rodri and Benardo are the driving force when their attackers are foiled and City do rely on them atm.
