True Oz but personally I would have bought on a defensive player. I guess that’s the Mourinho rub off on me.?

6th May 2019 at 10:35 pm #40167Nil don’t invest so much of yourself in a sport buddy, it’s not worth it. Majority of players in football these days are mercenaries that care little for the club or it’s supporters. Say FFP got ruled illegal & rich oil baron took over Leicester & offered more money than anyone else, top players would then be calling Leicester their “dream move”. Take it for what it is mate, a bit of entertainment where you see some skill full people playing a game. At least your heading into some better weather, into the minus where I am & the water is bloody freezing so no surf ?.

6th May 2019 at 10:36 pm #40168Wrong 9, you’d have started with a defensive player haha.

6th May 2019 at 10:36 pm #40169City achieving 195 points in two seasons with a game still to go is just bonkers especially when you think that until last season 95 points was the record points total which stood for 13 years.

6th May 2019 at 10:38 pm #40171Mak, I’m trying to register that damn thing myself: We’ve lost 1. 1 only to a 11 millimetres goal-line decision.
They have lost 4. Teams over the last 12 games only had to manage a draw if they couldn’t beat them and each and every one of them failed.
A team losing only 1 game likelihood finish 2nd.
People will laugh at us.

6th May 2019 at 10:39 pm #40172It’s not over yet, not with it still being so close. The strain of going into a game knowing you *have* to win has been demonstrated over recent weeks with both sides. And the high scoring City have scored an average of just 1.25 goals per game in the last four games.

6th May 2019 at 10:41 pm #40174Why don’t we ever place any emphasis on Domestic Cups?
I think Kids or just younger Generation of fans are really losing out.

6th May 2019 at 11:02 pm #40175Oz, kind words mate and I get where you are coming from, but I care too much about Liverpool. It’s part of my Life, my Blood. I love them too much to not bother.
And anyway, we’re not that club with mercenaries – Klopp wouldn’t allow that ilk in our squad.
We’ve actually punched a little above our weight over the last couple of seasons. Opposition in their heart of hearts are jealous inside and will never admit it.
I’ve always pointed out time and time again, we need to nail the trophies.
I can’t just turn my back on this club. I never did when Nothampton knocked us out of the League Cup, I never did when Roy Hodgson was in charge, I never did the time I actually went to Anfield and witnessed Blackpool beating us.

7th May 2019 at 2:03 am #40176Nil sadly mate players are these days, I guarantee players wouldn’t come to Liverpool if we didn’t offer big money, just look at Alison & VVD, both got massive money. Look at city, 10 years ago they were going nowhere but as soon as the oil money was on offer they are all of a sudden the “dream move” for players. Sadly mate it’s just how it is these days & is why I take it with a grain of salt. Supporters are the only one’s that truly give a toss about their club. I’ll always support LFC but I certainly don’t get to caught up when we don’t win. I accept it for what it is.

7th May 2019 at 7:29 am #40178strange games but expected results, both Newcastle and Leicester were close to being “that team”, all down to the last game now, after my elation at the spuds loss once again we couldnt hold on to get a win…even at home…very poor and im hoping for wholesale changes of our squad in the summer especially in defence, if that doesnt happen i shall be mighty pissed!
United though! deary me!
been a good season one way or another with lots of talking points…enjoyable

7th May 2019 at 9:25 am #40181AnonymousI dunno Oz, I think you’re doing them a disservice to say that they are only mercenaries. You’re talking about not only talent but highly driven characters and that for me is what separates the top level players from the rest. These lads may not hold as strong an allegiance as us to the club, to expect that to happen isn’t realistic. They can decide to go off to another club for more money but that other club also likely offers them a better or different challenge/chance to win trophies.
The Liverpool lads will be absolutely gutted to miss out on the PL title. A lot more than us. We can go do something else, it’s their lives.

7th May 2019 at 9:48 am #40184Must say I have a lot of liking and respect for Vinnie – top guy. I wouldn’t bet against him getting Goal Of The Season.
We still have a glimmer of hope, but when you see something like that, you know inside for City, it’s meant to be.

7th May 2019 at 11:01 am #40187AnonymousWasn’t too impressed with what Pep was saying after the match. Talking about not getting penalties. Today was “another one”.. on what planet was that a peno? Not earth.
The other rubbish then too. Instead of crediting Liverpool or his opponents he goes off about how man city have been better than everyone for the last 3 month’s and how Liverpool have had it easy.
What a twat.

7th May 2019 at 11:26 am #40188It’s really is done points tally nine and that’s why I think city will dominate until pep leaves. 195 points is unreal.
That’s why I’m not to disappointed as we have lost our to a world class team and we really couldn’t do much more
We have dropped 17 points. That’s just a crazy stat. We have conceded 22 goals. We score a load of goals. We are a very very good team
We have been back in Europe two seasons . We are challenging for the league
Klopp will always keep his job even without trophies as we are moving forward all the time and he gets the club
NO problem with city at all. Really outstanding team who are only going to get better

7th May 2019 at 11:45 am #40189Dont forget 93rd minute Agueroooooooo.
Anything can happen and not just to City. Wolves could equalise in the final minute. Brighton could get a penalty. No chickens being counted here.
Honestly, whoever comes second it is a travesty given the number of points.
What odds on both teams losing??!!!_____________________________

7th May 2019 at 11:47 am #40190Mak have to agree to disagree mate, look at Couts, they were talking about him being a Liverpool captain & legend, Barca come in & he’s gone. If FFP got ditched & Leicester got taken over by a oil baron offering insane money do you not think the top players would go there. As I said city were going nowhere, got a rich owner & all of a sudden players are making their “dream” move there.
I did see Peps interview, not surprisingly he left it till the title is all but guaranteed before starting talk like that, before that it was all respectful to us. How about Pep you try managing a team with a smaller budget than your rivals & you can’t buy whoever you want. We’ll never know cause he won’t do that.
Sean nothing you can do mate, great effort by our lads & cant ask for anything more, only losing 1 game will not happen again. Klopp saying we won’t spend much in the summer means we will only slip further behind the moneybags because they will spend. They will dominate for the immediate future so I think we all better get used to them winning the EPL, it’s the most predictable league in the world._____________________________

7th May 2019 at 12:19 pm #40191Oz.
Did you say this, assuming you were watching, when Utd and Arsenal were winning year after year and Chelsea. In almost every league one/two teams dominate. Why? Almost always its because they are richer than the others.
It is the way it is and has been and will be. Barca, PSG, Real, Celtic, Bayern etc etc. We are lucky with a wealthy owner and we have no debt.
Its the same in F1. The teams with the most money win. Mercedes and Ferrari.
So going on about money avoids the realities of sport today…sad as it is_____________________________
