If be shocked if Liverpool drop another point this season Nil. If Utd and Newcastle are to make top 4, they’re going to need to not drop silly points now because both Brighton and Liverpool will smell blood. They’re both now in the enviable position of being able to play without fear or pressure as nobody expects either to make top 4 now anyway so the pressure is off. A real test of character for the two in 3rd and 4th to see out the last few games with the pressure fully on.

Ed, appreciate your vote of confidence, but I’m afraid I’d have to go against your assertion my friend and will have to refuse to enter that trail of optimism.
Leicester are fighting for their lives and we’re in for a tough ride. Southampton last day of the season. Villa at home again no easy ride and they could get all 3 points.
I’ve always made a point of Respecting opposition that otherwise would have been taken for granted. Brighton really have been recognition for the Premier League. They’d be more in the hat than us for 4th.
Newcastle a fully deserved 3rd and Man United most likely 4th. The reason in offset to all this in me being happy and looking forward is in line with King Charles’ Coronation Day and being able to look forward to a live match Teatime at Anfield on Tv not to mention me being off work π Cheers

Liverpool going to end up 5th and Thursday night footie. Hardly ideal if they want to make an effort to challenge City for the title next season nil. United nor Newcastle will relinquish their top four positions what with current form, games in hand and points in the bank. I am hoping completely missing the European scene for the upcoming season will do the Chelsea squad the world of good in their current situation trying to get the club back in the groove. The only problem I guess is getting in a good manager and a striker worth his salt that is willing to miss midweek footie for a season.

Chelsea1967, ye horrible to miss cl football but the Europa league is a trophy we can win. I canβt see anybody touching city while pep is there. I am not sure we will be challenging anytime soon for tye league. We need to get back into the cl first
Chelsea have an absolutely huge problem at the moment and thatβs the owner. He needs to take a step back and let the football manage the football side of it. If he keeps interfering that chelsea are a reward

Yes Sean the owner is too hands on with everything, needs to appoint (likely) Poch, let Poch filter out what he considers dead wood to trim the squad down and balance the books at the same time for FFP and bring in a 20 plus goal centre forward,
Amazingly the players had to ask for a Physio guy to be reinstated and the owner obliged but only one day a week on Sundays. That is how farcical things are. Little wonder the players have lost the plot. This is apart from the huge squad not having change rooms for everybody and some changing in other rooms or the corridor. Unbelievable right!?!

Brighton have games in hand over us so I’m hoping frankly that they win them and they get 5th spot. Maybe the Conference League might be better suited for us, or better still, a break from Europe.
Our mistake and misfortunes have been injuries, but the lack of depth and not utilizing our squad as we should have done. We have paid the price of this as well as mismanagement. The players need a step back and maybe less games next season than a full-on programme.

Sean, I read about that Inter player mate. Hands up as I know nothing about him. I just read from one of the Anfield sites, we have a few players in the pipeline ready to sign.
I believe Mac Allister will join us. Some players will move on. Milner to Brighton’s done. Ox and possibly Curtis Jones may move on. Arthur Melo’s not even played a single match.

The way we’re playing at the moment, I think that’s a given Nil. We look absolutely shot at the moment. Whether it’s fatigue, lack of quality in players covering for injuries, lack of goalscorers in the team. I’m not sure what it is but we seem to be playing decent first halves then just so far second half. Top 4 looking less and less likely to me for Utd.
