I actually think areta is worse then Klopp these days to be honest but no complaints about anyone’s comments
He was well out of order. Not sure what he’s complaining about as we got away a clear sending off . He needs to calm down. No excuses.
The problem again is inconsistency
Tierney didn’t send Kane off againest us last season for a worse tackle then casemerio v the saints. Refs just aren’t consistent
Loads of examples. Klopp has to take this on the chin and expect some punishment

2nd May 2023 at 7:54 pm #206638PPT, that’s a bit harsh. Hasn’t Pep ever kicked off or at the very least be sarcastic to officials after the final whistle? Where’s his punishment?

2nd May 2023 at 8:41 pm #206639Well we keep getting worse.
Can’t wait for end of season, so thankful to have 39 points on the board already because if we had 36 or less I would be shitting myself right now.

2nd May 2023 at 8:56 pm #206643Could the goal difference against Man City tighten a little? All about Pride for Chelsea in the second half, unless they somehow score early.

2nd May 2023 at 8:58 pm #206644Considering the 3 games you have following Bournemouth and Forest, you might not get any more points if you don’t take anything from those 2 Lucky. Surely not? I think if you had 3 or 4 points less than you do, it could be a nervous last few weeks. As it is, it’s surely just about pride now.

2nd May 2023 at 9:04 pm #206645I think it’s fair to say Lampard won’t be managing in the Premier league again.

2nd May 2023 at 9:05 pm #206646Yeah exactly Ed if we had a few less points in the bag already I would be petrified, can easily see us going rest of the season without a win or even losing the last 5.
No logic applies anymore mate, the team is broken and the players have no confidence whatsoever. I don’t just mean they are nervous I really mean they have no belief at all that they are good enough individually or collectively and it’s evident in every touch and every decision they make.

3rd May 2023 at 10:23 am #206649Alfie, not sure if you saw the halland raised foot v palace? Dermot Gallagher said it wasn’t a sending off but jotas was?
Both were definite red cards for me but both are exsctjy the same
I’m not sure anyone knows the rules these days. Just far to many inconsistent decisions

3rd May 2023 at 10:31 am #206650Also I think Klopp needs to stop about Tierney
The issue is the clear jota pen and clear lane sending off last season aswell as Rodri handball which was a clear pen not given. But absolutely does not condone any of klopps behaviour. Touch line antics have to stop but var, reds etc is appalling
Webbe decision that you go with the refs decision is causing major issues.

3rd May 2023 at 1:43 pm #206651I’ve just taken a look at that one sean, and whilst they are different (to me at least) – one is front on, the other the players runs from behind, one is studs first, the other the side of the boot, different amounts of force being used – you could argue Haaland got away with one, though that was certainly the lesser of the two imo.
There really is no consistency these days. Casemiro’s red card was a nonsense, at least one challenge like that each week since and they have all been yellows or simple freekicks.
VAR has to change and balance things out, it’s just so nonsensical to have teh exact same challenge being treated differently week to week, game to game or even within the same game.
I think I get what Klopp meant now, though still ridiculous. He meant that the ref wanted to give a red, but the fourth official said yellow [as it’s klopp not mourinho 😉 ] and then he apparently smiled. So the smile was the inappropriate action. Doesn’t fit with Klopps initial comment was clearly about what was said to him, and not someone smiling.

3rd May 2023 at 8:10 pm #206652Alfie, I kinda or pretty much grow to understanding and empathy on your argument put forward. I’ve just seen a corner for example awarded to Liverpool that probably shouldn’t have been.
Perhaps that particular instance is leaves in the forest, but the discipline is losing it’s way in abiding by the rules of the game. With Video Assistance in place, you’d think you’d be as conscientious as ever and efficient.
I don’t believe it should just be brushed off and forgotten about so to a degree, I get why you have been strong in your point in recent weeks.

3rd May 2023 at 9:11 pm #206653Manchester City-Manchester United. We’ve been sold; Red in Blue dominance; they always win and no matter what anybody tries, it simply won’t be enough bar Chelsea, but they themselves are long gone.
You want Pep to dominate a DECADE?

3rd May 2023 at 9:39 pm #206655Any idea why Liverpool got a penalty? Surely VAR must advise the ref to take a closer look?

3rd May 2023 at 9:50 pm #206656I don’t think that’s an important issue Alfie. I think the important issue lies in comparing every single tackle in world football, to the one Casemiro was sent off for, looking at the outcome of those tackles, and the disciplinary action taken by the officials. No stone should be left unturned. That red card was such a travesty against the great game of football, that we should continue to talk about it for years to come until justice is done.
