11th January 2020 at 8:13 pm #58433Adlab, I’ve grown to liking Pep! π
Manchester City have been my Fave Rival Competitors above all. Manuel Pellegrini was Top Class in 2014 in the way he received Liverpool.
You’ve taken it day-by-day. Pep Guardiola is Commendable in my book as he’s NEVER applied any Mind Games. He’s a TOP GENT. He can accept defeat with class.
We’re NOT there yet My Good Friend π

11th January 2020 at 8:15 pm #58435Back already ?
Big win. Massive 3 points. All about getting the 3 points
We were sloppy in the 2nd half and spurs had two huge chances to equalise. It really doesnβt matter how we play as long as we win
Winji mom for me. Spurs could have got a draw and I thought Robertson could have gone as well

No foul and I think the Spurs player should be forced to send a letter of apology to Robertson. What do you want me to say?

11th January 2020 at 8:23 pm #58443Jose set Spurs up to play the only way they could especially with no Kane and it could have got them something. Liverpool lost their way a bit in the second half but their intensity and commitment all over the pitch was impressive.
Playing Eriksen is like playing with 10 men psychologically he’s left Spurs and Dele Alli is a shadow of the player he was.
Big win for Liverpool and it’s now only a question of how many they win the title by imo even if they lose a game or two between now and the end of the season.

11th January 2020 at 8:25 pm #58444Absolutely no suprise to see Jose set up like that. He was just waiting for us to make a mistake and spurs nearly did capitalise
I think those tactics are out dated now. Spurs had enough quality to have a bit more of a go in the last 30 mins
Agree about Eriksen nine mate. His head is not in the game.?

11th January 2020 at 8:29 pm #58450AnonymousI’m holding off on the next 2 game weeks before I change my own status on whether or not the league is all but won. We’ve gotten through 3 of the 5 fixtures from the block that I’ve been harping on about.
Today was huge in terms of the result. We get to rest a little now heading into Utd and then Wolves away. If we win them both then I’ll call the title. I made this promise about the 5 fixtures as a whole and we’re more than half way there.
After these games, City’s fixtures get tougher but I mean, we’ve got to see ourselves through these last 2 ourselves before ours get easier.

11th January 2020 at 8:32 pm #58453AnonymousThe reason Jose is playing him is cause he’s desperate to convince him to change his mind. I don’t blame him for trying, as he’s a huge financial asset, even if not on the pitch right now. Turn that around and he’d be like a new signing.
Would I play him? I’m not sure. I think there’s merit to both sides here. I guess I’d be more leaving towards getting him out of the squad so the others can focus on the new project but not by much.

11th January 2020 at 8:41 pm #584628:23, Spot On Nine.
At Times, we were caught short, but that’s all part and parcel of the journey.
We can’t in reality expect anything seamless. And admittedly, we rode our Luck, but it’s earned us Priceless 3 Points π

11th January 2020 at 8:54 pm #58473Nil, only thing missing was another couple of goals mate.
Liverpool’s defence is outstanding , both full backs are probably the best attacking full backs in the world at the moment and the front three are outstanding.
Difficult for anyone to compete with all that currently and even without the injuries City have suffered I think Liverpool would probably still have been too good for them this season.

11th January 2020 at 9:08 pm #5848327, Liverpool have been exceptional this season and fully deserve the title, those boys in Blue are doing my top 4 prediction no harm at all.

11th January 2020 at 9:12 pm #58486AnonymousAgreed, so far anyway Nine. I mean, really the only influence City could have had so far is over 1 game and we’ve won all the rest, except for a draw. So, ya, I think we’d likely be ahead of City even at their best… but of course City at their best wouldn’t be far behind and then there would be the rest of the season, so that’s why I’d say only until now.
As for the rest of the season, surely you can understand why I want to get through this block of fixtures before I get too excited. I mean, 3 from 5 so far is fantastic but if we lose the remaining 2 and City win both their matches, it’s game on again. Both teams are capable of taking points off us too. I mean even 2 draws would start the whispers.
Let’s just win these 2 damn games!!!! we’ve got to be more clinical against Utd cause they won’t give us as many chances as Spurs did. They never do. Well, that or De Gea saves them all.

11th January 2020 at 9:24 pm #58494Nine, I think city would have had more points without a doubt if they had less injuries but I think itβs over looked how many injuries Liverpool have had
Alison was out for two months. Matip 3 months. Fabhino 3 months. 3 massive players for us but we were lucky we didnβt miss them. I really thought we would miss fabhino more
We havenβt missed anyone like city have missed Laporte though

11th January 2020 at 9:53 pm #58512Southampton look to have turned a corner. Just 8 points in their first 11 games, 20 points in their next 11 games. Looked down and out after their 9-0 drubbing by Leicester some months ago. Great comeback by the manager to have picked things up.
