Think you’re right Sean re Kante what we gain in releasing Kante we lose defensively and against teams like Arsenal who are strong offensively I think we need to play Kante alongside Jorginho in a two. I thought we tightened up a bit more with Kovacic in midfield.

Thought Chelsea were OK. Different team with Hazard. Luiz though looks very suspect in defence. Also not sure about the goalie but early days yet.
Arsenal? I agree. Some of their players, Ozil for example, Lacasette, Aubamayang? looked like they didnt want to work back. No way would they get into a Pep team._____________________________

I thought Chelsea played some smashing stuff yesterday up to the 30th minute and for the majority of the 2nd half.
But they were far too open at times and you can’t be that open against the best offensive teams
going forwards and hope to claim a CL place.Obviouslyy Hazard made a difference when he came on but I thought Kovacic had a very good debut and tightened up the midfield when he came on.
Just two games in though with some club’s having new Managers/ new tactics and the majority with new players plus the impact of the World Cup. Long way to go with plenty of ups and downs.

I think it be Cardiff aswell with Brighton or Newcastle
Utd will win 2-0.
So many options for city. Clear favorites to retain the title. Not sure anyone will be able to stop them for a longtime

I have not seen us play better. And that was without KDB, Sterling, Sane, Mahrez, Walker, Otamendi and Foden for most of the game. Mendy’s first time balls into the box are incredible. Aguero looked amazing. Gundogwan played well too.

Still think Jose is the right man? I dont know really. He should worry less about a tv film and more about his team.

Man Utd have basically panic bought several big name players over recent years to try to keep in touch of the challengers, whilst at the same time chopping and changing managers, so there’s no harmony between the manager and transfer strategy. Mourinho still needs his kinds of players and this idea that he can just use what he has whilst also supposedly trying to play more like the Man Utd way is just idealistic flawed thinking.
