[Hightown hope]

Well, it’s my birthday today, and my lads entertained me royally at Anfield this afternoon. I know you City boys on here don’t like Milner (for reasons I’ve never entirely understood), but he was just brilliant today. In a team full of flair, glam players, and fancy tricks, I keep thinking Milner’s had his day. But he really is getting better with age, and even with the added competition in our midfield this year, he’ll still play a big part for us this year, I reckon.

So last year’s top 5 all start with a win, with varying degress of comfort. Really fancy us to give City a run for their money this year.

Great performance by City today given all the circumstances like, away first day, away to a very hard place and team, players on bench, World Cup players still not 100% yet and there was a lot of them, new manager, new players and renewed optimism in the full crowd, yeah we did good.

Of course pool are gonna push city hard this season, obsolutely no doubt about that.

Can Chelsea regroup and get playing, they have a new very good manager and some great additions so I’m watching them.

Utd, well, Maureen, things seem on boiling point with him and the board. He has his don’t blame me head on already sighting the lack of new players and backing!! Jesus does he ever stop, that club have backed him very well. If he can remove the negative, don’t lose tactics then they won’t be far away.

Spuds, could have done with a couple of additions really, injuries could cause real issues with this squad. But on their day can whoop anyone.

Can’t see anyone else touching these 5 really, these 5 will dominate this league this year quite easily

Thanks Adlab – like your comment about the CL!! It’s now half my life since we last won the league, and I keep thinking we better get a move on! None of us are getting any younger. Terrible defending from both teams. Hopefully Hazard comes on and turns the game back in Chelsea’s favour. No chance of CL football if Chelsea defend like they have.

You look at some the aresnal players and it’s not ability. It’s just sheer laziness and lack of effort.

Ozil is a disgrace. Belerin, laczette and mgikithern. They don’t work hard

Absolutely pathetic from them for Chelsea’s 3rd goal

Totally different style of play from cheksea who were carved open at times but you need time to able implements saris way of playing

Really enjoy watching jorghino. Great on the ball. Not sure if playing kante a bit Firyhur forward leaves Chelsea open
