I think neither the board nor Jose even knows what now comes next. Man Utd have been all over the place at board level, so it’s not surprising to see that now reflected on the pitch. I think the reason why Jose still won a title during his second spell at Chelsea (something that no doubt further influenced Man Utd’s decision to hire him with his relatively quick turnaround) was because Chelsea’s recruitment, regardless of the manager, has always been quite strong whereas Man Utd’s has been quite desperate and all over the place.
They need to decide what their strategy is before they even decide on the manager.

28th August 2018 at 9:02 am #25888Anonymousin the first half last night united were good. created chances, put spurs under pressure. spurs were very poor. couldnt string two passes together, even when not under pressure and made too many mistakes at the back. had lukaku taken his chance that was gifted to him by rose it would’ve been a different game. however, united failed to capitalise on it. second half spurs were much improved. limited united to pot shots and managed to keep hold of the ball well. kane’s header changed the game and from that point it was pretty much one way traffic and was only going to end one way.
i dont know if united are worse this season or whether de gea just isnt bailing them out right now like he has done for several years. either way, mourinho has lost the plot.

28th August 2018 at 10:05 am #25889Quadruple fuck, said it Spuds should have been @ least 3 goals up after the 1st half. Can I fuck you sideways and call you Kylie?
Agreed completely on spending, you just got to spend wisely and give players a chance to settle in.Sanchez is NOT on £26m a year btw.Sanchez,Matic,Fred, extremely unnecessary signings and panic buys.Young,Valencia,Herrera,Matic,Sanchez,-past their best, with Pogba and Martial 2 players whose hearts are somewhere else, and desperately want to leave.Jose himself past his best, and Roman should just sack him._____________________________

28th August 2018 at 10:10 am #25890Wasplicker-Joses time is up in English football mate.He is a spent-force,a wasted man.United should do a Chelsea and appoint Hiddink till the end of the season,we can still manage to get the 42 points to unable us to avoid relegation @ this stage of the season with only 3 games played.English football in general will be in a much better place when Jose leaves. His time @ the top is over, period!

28th August 2018 at 10:12 am #25891Ed-Sorry mate but bar DDG the rest of United player were utter shite, and I got the feeling that Shaw is either player for a new contract or to be in a better position to earn a move in the summer.Either way we need to look for 2 new full-bcks come summer.

28th August 2018 at 1:02 pm #25906The Red Devils will be paying him a reported £600,000 a week, eclipsing the £280,000 weekly salary of new teammate Paul Pogba – up til now believed to be the highest-paid player. Much is said of the eye-watering salaries of footballers but they, like everyone else, pay tax.24 Jan 2018

28th August 2018 at 1:22 pm #25907United were ok in the first half and had the Lukaku chance been taken we would have probably been talking about a completely different outcome. But United are very shaky at the back even DDG looks a shadow of his former self and did in the World Cup too.
Credit to Spurs on a good second half performance, goals change games and once Kane scored it was an uphill task for United the first Moura goal was brilliant and Eriksen is a delight to watch in midfield.
Crazy post match press conference from Mourinho which only adds to the pressure on him but that’s the way he is and he wears his heart on his sleeve.
I’m not sure he can turn things around from here this is all very reminiscent of his third Season at Chelsea.
