In 13/14 Liverpool’s defence let down their attack and thus they didn’t win.
In 18/19 Liverpool’s attack let down their defence and thus…

3rd March 2019 at 6:10 pm #34832Could I suggest wrong tactics by Pool in the second half. The long ball wasnt working. Henderson showed his midfield limitations. If you guys are disappointed look to Klopp.
Do you agree/disagree?_____________________________

3rd March 2019 at 6:11 pm #34833AnonymousWe’ve just dropped too many points recently. You cant do that , in this manner and expect to win the title. It’s a shame because it seemed like our forwards were back to form but they were all dreadful today.
9/10 performance from Van Dijk but he stands alone there.
I’m gonna hope that city drop more points than us from here on but I somehow doubt that.

3rd March 2019 at 6:12 pm #34834Mikus…I think it’s the midfield more than the front 3. They’re just all too similar…just can’t understand why Klopp didn’t look at Shaq or Keita to offer something a little different

3rd March 2019 at 6:13 pm #34835Great entertainment today all 3 games esp the Fulham-Chelsea game where as usual when you get a new manager the team improves a lot.

3rd March 2019 at 6:14 pm #34837A twist in the title race but I’m sure there will be one or two more twists along the way.
Great atmosphere at Goodison created by the Everton fans and a very good second half watch despite no goals.
How good was Van Dijk today probably the best centre back in the world. Despite the forwards not firing for Liverpool their biggest problems are a lack of creativity and goals from midfield.

3rd March 2019 at 6:15 pm #348383 whole months we held the lead (or regained Top Spot after our game-in-hand one way or another) since I believe our last meeting against Everton. Finally that upper hand is lost and another 2 points dropped away from home, but there are still 9 games to go and Man City still have to go to Old Trafford.
They have the FA Cup and the CL to juggle too. I’m happy on the whole with a glass full but we really can’t afford any more points dropped and have to keep in touching distance.

3rd March 2019 at 6:18 pm #34840HH, just don’t think he trusts Keita. Only explanation I can think of. I agree the midfield is a problem. As I said just 6 league goals between them and most were set pieces. Just dire.

3rd March 2019 at 6:28 pm #34845I love Klopp Mikus but blame him for today. Crap subs and no balls to go for it.
Out of our hands now which was always the worry.

3rd March 2019 at 6:30 pm #34846Sean do you think your tactics were right pumping the ball forward most of the time. The game cried out for midfield quality not Henderson?

3rd March 2019 at 6:34 pm #34847Sean, just don’t think he trusts the other options in midfield/attack. Don’t get why he didn’t look to find a solution in the recent window. We’re in title race for crying out loud. And Klopp comes off smiling and shrugging saying “oh well, I’m proud of the way we fought” saying “let’s just see where we end up.” Just no ruthlessness there whatsoever.

3rd March 2019 at 6:41 pm #34849Adlab no control in midfield. Need some creativity in there. Don’t think Klopp showed any intent to go for the win
Away form is poor at the minute. Everton are a poor side and we were just to sloppy
Very poor on the ball and no imagination going forward

3rd March 2019 at 7:00 pm #34850Adlab, I think the title race is still wide open. I’m just frustrated that we’re not capitalising and thus putting ourselves under more pressure. This has got all the hallmarks of the 2011/12 season. And interestingly, after 29 games that season, City were just one point behind Utd with an almost identical points tally (70 pts to 69 pts). And we all know how that season ended.

3rd March 2019 at 7:04 pm #34852We will need city to fall apart as we will drop points. It’s us that constantly shoots ourselves in the foot.
City just control games.
I think they have far to much experience now to let us back into it.

3rd March 2019 at 7:12 pm #34853Sean, I think both teams will continue to drop points. But admittedly we need to stop dropping them sooner rather than later. Fixtures generally kinder now though and our 2 remaining big games are at home, where we’re much stronger. Plus fixtures will start piling up for City.
