2nd March 2019 at 4:57 pm #34748Silver lining for us: tamed goal difference. Bournemouth did well albeit one lapse. City got over the line and were more creative in the second half, but for me were not overly convincing. Not really happy with today’s Ref.

2nd March 2019 at 4:59 pm #34750All I can say is come on Everton but that would be a waste as they are pretty poor. Still you never know!

2nd March 2019 at 6:01 pm #34752Adlab city were great today but they really do fight for each other.
The pressing from city when they didn’t have the ball was excellent
Excellent team
We will see what Liverpool are made of tomorrow
We have to win. We have to go to a really tough place and show we have the balls to really push for the league
The minute it is out of our hands I can’t see city being caught

2nd March 2019 at 7:40 pm #34754Sean, did you really put a £20 on?
I would have felt quite emotionally sore if I’d have done that mate, unless it was a bit of something I won previously.
I had £8 today which I could afford to let go of with Man Utd in my acca. They came good! Lol 😀 One of the Teams lower down the leagues denied. Could have won a Bullseye at the very least 🙂

3rd March 2019 at 10:24 am #34758Just saw all the highlights reckon Saints could feel a little hard done by there, if they were peno’s down at Wembly, then I reckon Saints deserved at least two up Norff.
Didn’t see the Rose dive, sorry Wasplicker, but I’m sure he did, he does have history.
Rose 1 – 0 Salah… (but and I am watchiing later, suspect it won’t finish 1-0!)

3rd March 2019 at 10:41 am #34760Sean, Newbalance and friends. Are your nerves tingling a bit?
I think you will win, honestly. Everton are not good particularly central defence which you will be able to exploit. I’m predicting 3-0 to Liverpool._____________________________

3rd March 2019 at 10:54 am #34762You’re on a windup? I’m on a windmill… it’s all bullocks at the end of the day!
Anyway, I’ve admitted Rose dived even though I didn’t see it, that’s about as opposite of Wenger as humanly possible… 🙂

3rd March 2019 at 11:11 am #34763Adlab, Good Morning. Thanks for the kind message.
I don’t feel of any doubt, but at the same time, I’m not allowing myself to be big-headed and get carried away. Every point has to be fought for and Everton will be no differently to the example of Man United last week, with the deserved respect.
Probably be a narrow 1-0 win and that I will be happy with. A bonus if we can build on goal difference, but 1 step at a time.
Just seen the news on DeBryne re his injury. I had a feeling Mahrez would be the difference yesterday. He has the ability to get round the back and score goals. Good win for you guys and there’s that aura of togetherness and true champions which you still are.
Enjoy the footy 🙂

3rd March 2019 at 11:14 am #34764Makes me think Spurs will be hard to shrug off when they come to Anfield. There might even be something dodgy and like last season will probably finish as a draw.
Better start winning some games and rack up points before-hand 😛

3rd March 2019 at 11:18 am #34765Well, would go along with Gini, Fab and Jimmy as a Midfield Trio today. Hope no Henderson, otherwise will be losing valuable seconds and Everton will just try and run down the clock if they smell a draw or are holding onto to the lead.
No win at Goodison in the PL since Jan 13th. Not a bad fact/stat to walk into.
But can’t be taken for granted. Trent’s going to be a key player for us if he is included – hope Shaqs gets a game today.

3rd March 2019 at 11:18 am #34766Losing De Bruyne to injury again is a blow to City despite the strength of their squad. The lad has had a worryingly bad season of injuries this season.

3rd March 2019 at 11:23 am #34767AnonymousKinda hard to pin it down to one thing or the other Adlab. I tend to take losses of points hard this season but heading into games, I feel reasonably calm about it. I’m confident that the team can get the result we need today. It’s the derby though and anything can go wrong. I might be reasonably calm in that I have a base level of confidence with this team and last weeks result helps that BUT it’s the derby and even just the PL, anything can happen.
I think that we’re at such a good quality under Klopp that if our team is having a good day, there are only a few teams who could still beat us. I don’t consider Everton to be one of those teams. We’ve had some poor-ish games recently though, so that would be the only source of worry for me.
I am going to be bold with my prediction and say 3-0 also. I think we’ve got too much for Everton and with us needing to catch City’s GD, I think if we are on form, we’ll go for the jugular in order to reel City in.
Klopp has recently praised Matip and you know what, he’s deserved it. Bar a few little mistakes, he’s been really good lately. He’s intercepted a few, got in some good blocks and closed down well on another couple of occasions. I would still be worried about him for a game like this though. I really hope he plays well today because we all love a comeback and Matip has been on the periphery of late.
As i think about this game , I’ll admit that there is quite a bit of anticipation building 😉
