Mak, they are just two pundits giving their opinions they are not the official voice of Sky.

I think Neville makes a good point which I’ve made myself Liverpool without CL games would have a better chance of winning the PL even City will struggle to compete for both the PL and the CL and allegedly they have a bigger and better squad than Liverpool.

Ok, there is a valid argument that Liverpool might have a better chance of the PL without the CL. it is really only up for discussion though and I would argue against it. i can see why people would argue for it, so I’ll give you that.

As for them not being the voice of Sky, I’ve got to completely disagree with you. I mean, it is actually pretty rare that you can look at a company and say “they are the voice of such and such” but we’re looking at a media company who contract people to represent them and their interests.

They broadcast these people over their channels, they edit the parts they want most to represent them in articles on their website. They will not just have these guys talking randomly either. They’ll have a discussion planned out beforehand, for the pre-post match discussions.

they absolutely are the voice of Sky.

Mak, just my opinion, but I think there’s an element just to be controversial sometimes because that generates a lot of online traffic and hits. That’s what Piers Morgan does on his morning chat show and love him or loathe him it stirs the pot and thus generates the traffic which is what the media ultimately want because it means greater revenues.

also to be fair, to say a paid pundit on any broadcaster especially sky is not their voice is false, otherwise they would still have Andy Grey and Carragher on 😉

they may want to stir the pot but can only go so far or they ruin the reputation of the broadcaster…
