10th February 2019 at 6:50 pm #33356Just watcbed the Sarri interview. He does not seem too confident of retaining his job.
Nine. Should he?_____________________________

10th February 2019 at 7:24 pm #33359Adlab, I think a lot of that interview got lost in translation.
I wouldn’t sack Sarri after 7 months but questions do need to be asked and answered and he needs to be a bit more pragmatic going forwards.

10th February 2019 at 7:38 pm #33361It is very easy to talk about what went wrong as far as the losing team goes, but you have to give a mention to this man SERGIO AGUERO – Hat-trick Hero. He really is on another level altogether and a JOY if you just like Football. π KUDOS.

10th February 2019 at 7:52 pm #33363Putting aside Sarri’s wrong tactics and Chelsea’s defensive mistakes let’s not lose sight of how good City were today.
City were down and out v Newcastle following a really poor performance and the title was seemingly gone but today they hit the heights of last season and they seem determined to defend their title now.

10th February 2019 at 8:06 pm #33364Nine, if Chelsea were to receive a transfer ban and they continue in mixed form, do you think Abramovich will want to continue with Sarri in such circumstances?

10th February 2019 at 8:18 pm #33365It would be nonsense to change the manager……But then it wouldnt be a surprise from Abramovic!
If they beat Utd in the cup this will be forgotten._____________________________

10th February 2019 at 8:21 pm #33366Mikus, there is no guarantee that Chelsea will receive a transfer ban and allegefly Chelsea aren’t the only PL Club being investigated.
However if Chelsea did receive a transfer ban they would appeal it anyway and it would go to CAS which would almost certainly give them the Summer window plus there are a number of exciting youngsters to be integrated into the squad too so whilst I don’t think it would be helpful neither will it be a disaster imo and I’m sure Chelsea can work around it.
I can’t speak for Abramovich but imo Sarri was appointed by Roman and the Board to change the way Chelsea played and as disappointing as today and the last few weeks have been it’s going to take more than 7 months and buying just one outfield player to deliver that.

10th February 2019 at 8:22 pm #33368Giblues, really sorry to hear about your dad mate. Thoughts are with you and your family
City are hitting too form now and their hiccup was Newcastle. There wonβt be another result like that again for them. They look fresh and are using the squad well. Brilliant performance
Sari just goes with the sane tactics and formation every game. Thatβs humiliating today.
Thatβs 3 so called tough games for city and they won all the games comfortably.
Liverpool can only afford one more draw and then they need to win every game.
Canβt see anything other then city winning the keague especially in this form

10th February 2019 at 8:26 pm #33370I was at the match to day, Chelsea tried but were simply no match to City all over the pitch. Fernandiho just managed Kante and Jorghinho on his own. Augerro they were scared witless of, same for Sterling and that other Silva just made a nuiscance of himself. Chelsea have good player and have a style but nobody knits them together. Higuian cannot run

10th February 2019 at 8:35 pm #33371Another season will go by, Augerro still breaking records after all these years and never gets near the awards, must feel like no matter what he does somebody does not rate him. His performance to day was excellent again and I consider myself fortunate enough to see most of his goals (at the Etihad) in the time he has been with us.He missed the tap in but made up for it

10th February 2019 at 8:43 pm #33372Sean, I was think along those lines too mate. We have to basically be at our best.
As Nine rightly points out, City look more determined than ever. I don’t know whether this is any way fudged or impaired by the lack of tactical nous re both Arsenal and Chelsea, but you can’t take away the fact that both were emphatic victories.
The job was done at Everton. We’ll just have to wait and see how the remainder of the season pans out and what impact will the Champions League have on both Liverpool and Man City.
Got to keep ploughing…..

10th February 2019 at 8:44 pm #33373Brian @8:26pm difficult to disagree with any of that mate. I think Higuain will get fitter and I think he’s a useful short term signing whether he goes to the end of this season or to the end of next season.

10th February 2019 at 8:45 pm #33374Top quality player Brian. Aguero seems to be quite a private person much like David Silva. Two of the best players the ol has ever seen
Do you think either could be cities best ever player?
