I was at the game today against Brighton.
First time at OT.

I think United were best for the first 10 minutes. Then they just fell apart. Brighton were the better team, tearing United at least a good few new arseholes.
Højlund was definitly United’s best player, but he didn’t get much support. I have no idea why he was taken off.

McT, Eriksen and Casemiro are just not a unit. Completely disjointed. As is the entire team.
ETH is a dead man walking I’m sure. The team almost looked like they downed tools. Hannibal looked ok when he came on.
We’ll not get anywhere near top 4 this season.

Small margins at top level football. All over Brighton at the start, should be ahead, get hit on the counter and Brighton score with their first attack.

Camera angles and millimetres ruled out an equaliser.

Rashford misses a sitter, Brighton then counter and get the second.

Plenty of work to be done, but some winnable games (Bayern aside) coming up. Need to win to build confidence.

Not convinced ostracising Sancho is a wise move with Anthony missing and so many injuries, but Ten Hag is closer to the situation.

Takes getting used to this new added time for the minutes wasted etc. I get the corner flag hog to see it all out; wish Liverpool did that in 1989!

The second penalty appeal and inspection that followed was rightly waved off by Craig Pawson. This is what I want to see more. Mbeumo absolutely had no control of that as it flicked off the Newcastle player heading the ball and both were in dead close proximity.

What I do want to see is guts of blatant handballs like Rodri given.

Let’s be honest too, this win has taken pressure off Eddie Howe from a point of view in heightened expectations.
