Have to agree with that Ed. Liverpool fans would be up in arms if against us or done by a city or utd player. Was a tiny bit of contact but the dive was embarrassing.

There is, you can see it throws him off balance when he’s landing.

when you’re going around a keeper, you’re gonna need to be able to turn pretty hard after you get past him and if the keeper throws off yer balance like that then yer gonna miss. He made the call to throw himself down to make the ref make the decision, instead of still trying and ultimately missing.

That’s my take on it anyway cause I used to be a world-class striker.

Guys him throwing himself down is clearly to make the ref make a decision. It wasn’t that he couldn’t stay on his feet.

That’s the perfect peno for the “was the contact enough for him to fall over” debate… I say no, there wasn’t, which is why it took an eternity for him to actually fall over… absolute minimal contact was made and he made a meal out of it…
