Stevo I totally agree with tou. We should be going there easily and winning. City needed to win badly there last season and they did. We were terrible and lucky to get a draw
As much as I love salah, he never turns up in big away games over last 18 months.
We need to be up for this. Go there and play like we can. If we donβt then itβs becoming a problem as no doubt city would go to utd and wipe the floor with this current team
Our approach to Everton and utd awAy last year is what cost us in my opinion. It was to negative.

16th October 2019 at 10:33 am #50124Very ooor, would be surprised with less than a 3 goal margin for Liberoools. If Liberoools can’t get it up for this I know who their next sponsor should be!

16th October 2019 at 11:03 am #50126Sorry cyber chum, if I could jinx it, I really really would and twice on Sundays!!!
Hoping for a really dodgy peno from Horace in the 97th minute to sneak a 1-0 win, after The Liberoools have had 7 goals disallowed by VAR because Wee Mo’s furry face was off-side… if I’m really honest!!
But really can’t see anything other than 3 points for your mob.

16th October 2019 at 11:42 am #50128maybe this is what the Pool lads are worried about and the united lads have more confidence than current form should allow…..

16th October 2019 at 11:43 am #50129James is fine Chucky. He’ll be rivalling Alli soon for the worst diver in the league. Quickly getting himself a reputation that becomes hard to shake off. ?

16th October 2019 at 11:46 am #50131Sorry, Sweddy Eddy, but not even Dele “Louganis” Ali has performed to such a standard as Horace “Zontal” James, and as for getting a reputation, I would say he’s already got it!! π

16th October 2019 at 11:57 am #50134Nobody wins in this calling out individual players for diving we all have them the only defence of James is that at least he wasn’t diving to win an unjustified penalty.
I still can’t understand why the FA and UEFA haven’t instigated panels to judge diving and to introduce retrospective 3 match bans within 6 months the problem would be solved.

16th October 2019 at 12:22 pm #50135You’re not wrong Puppy, but I like to think A) I’m quite happy to call out Spuds players when they do it and B) if EVERYBODY started calling out EVERYBODY for doing it, maybe the idea that diving is actually cheating will spread.

16th October 2019 at 12:27 pm #50136And have to very strongly disagree with your comment suggesting, in James defense, “at least it wasn’t for a peno” is really poor, cyber chum! Did you actually see it? Pretending to be knocked-out because there was contact with his hip?? Forget the shirt, whatever shirt, but this was a new level of pathetic behavior from a “professional” athlete…
I know football is heading down that road, but it isn’t quite the WWF… not yet at any rate! π

16th October 2019 at 1:40 pm #50138you still cant beat the WC match against Brazil back in the day, was it Rivaldo? At the corner flag, nothing happened and he went down clutching his face likea dog had ripped it off
that level of cheating and James one falls in to this IMHO is more than farcical

16th October 2019 at 2:19 pm #50141Chucky, come on mate the “only defence” are the “operative” words players diving to get penalties change the course of a game I’m not sure James making out he was concussed changed the course of the game as injury time will have been added on.

16th October 2019 at 2:45 pm #50146I’m glad it’s back and the boring international week is behind us now. i’m looking forward to the Newcastle game. but i’m nervous about our injuries. we still have 2 of our 3 out and out CMs injured. which means Lampard has to try Ross Barkley there. a midfield trio of Jorginho,Barkley and Mount will be too attacking. but Willian’s workrate will cover a lot. Zouma and Tomori will be our CB pairing. fullbacks will be Alonso and Azpi. Hodson Odoi to start. come on you blues!

16th October 2019 at 3:01 pm #50147Completely agree Chucky on calling everybody out. You’ll not see me or Mav hiding when Utd players dive, that’s for sure. James has barely played a handful of games but he’s certainly going the way of Kane, Alli, Young etc! Have no reason to expect James will change but he’ll have to do it consistently over a nu ber of years like Alli if he’s to cement a reputation.

16th October 2019 at 3:04 pm #50148AnonymousTo the growing CFC contingent on here. Just wanted to post this poser for you. Lampard isnt much different tactically than Sarri with his subs. Taken Tammy off three times on 83 mins – twice on 73 and once on 72. FYI. but the poser is this. Is Tammy CFC’s best striker?
Batshuyai is Chelsea’s best striker because of his goal to minutes on the pitch ratio. 1 in 45 minutes, Tammy is 1 goal ever 71 minutes.
Think the Bat man needs some more minutes on the pitch.

16th October 2019 at 3:05 pm #50149England international fixtures started in 1872 and pre dates all of our Clubs.
Football in England is very tribal and Club fans particularly fans of the big 6 are often negative towards international football and the England team.
Maybe if England won the World Cup again that would change??
Players still seem to enjoy international football, the downside though is the injuries that Clubs can sustain in the international break but that’s always been the case all the way back to the beginnings of international football.
