19th October 2019 at 7:45 pm #50415Hello boys!
Good win could have easily been 6.
When I saw the line up I thought oh sh.t!
But it worked and Rodri and Ferna hardly troubled. Pity Sterling didnt have his shooting boots on.
Most pleasing was the performance against a decwnt side. We were relentless chasing. What a difference KDB makes. Can Utd win tomorrow? Absolutely not Im afraid but we’ll see.
Both keepers made some great saves too!

19th October 2019 at 9:23 pm #50428Well, i have to say that win could be the catalyst of another City run. the way they dominated the game with only two recognised defenders on the pitch is amazing.
As for the Lancashire rivalry, i would say, if United goes at halftime whilst the game is 0-0, they they would be buoyed by that and will sit deep to take a point. but my money is on Liverpool to win it.

19th October 2019 at 9:42 pm #50430I can only see Man U getting a good hiding tomorrow, whether the score reflects it is another matter, but it will be a one sided game….Pagan

19th October 2019 at 10:06 pm #50439AnonymousThere have been quite a few matches between Liverpool and Utd where the neutrals have foreseen a hammering for Utd but it’s never come to be. This time I do think we’ll get a win but I’m not going to get ahead of myself. The lads have got to perform at Old Trafford.
it is nice to know that we could go and lose it whilst staying 5 points ahead but these kinds of ties are what cost us the title last season. What we have is the luxury of mistakes but we definitely don’t need to start spending our buffer yet. We’ve got to win and that’s that.

20th October 2019 at 2:44 am #50444The spuds doing it real tough. Only a draw against Watford at home and that with a late equaliser. Has to be internal problems there. I wonder if Levy might bight the bullet and bring out the axe?
Re Chelsea, tough win against a well organised Newcastle. I think now everybody that supports our club can embrace this transition we are going through instead of fearing it. Sure there will be a bit of a bumpy ride but we now know that collectively and also individually these boys are definitely good enough as Premier League players and will only get better. Willian was very good again today and certainly not over the hill yet. He seems to be very happy playing for Frank and I get a gut feel that Frankβs man management skills may well be right up there with the best. Exciting times ahead lads and so pleased for Frank and Jody that everything is heading in the right direction.

20th October 2019 at 2:48 am #50445United only one point outside the bottom three and may well remain there after the Liverpool clash. Can they get relegated? They can but they won’t. If the rot continues the manager will go and there will be a recovery. Too many good players there to even consider relegation in my opinion.

20th October 2019 at 8:58 am #50449Brian Clough was once asked βdo you think team x are too good to go downβ he answered if they were too good to go down they wouldnβt be where they are….Pagan

20th October 2019 at 9:06 am #50450Pagan. I recall something similar as one of many famous Clough quotes.
I think Utd are way too good to go down. There main problem is the lack of top flight experience of the manager. I remember saying as a City fan, on here, how pleased I was they appointed OGS full time. It is too big a job. I tnink Pep or Klopp would struggle with this team.
I also remember Ed. not being happy with the appointment. All in all I cant see much hope for Utd today but as has been said many times its a “funny old game”. Of course I want Utd to get something today but I wont hold my breath. No De Gea or Pogba either!

20th October 2019 at 10:14 am #50455Well having watched MOTD, all I can suggest is they need to rename VAR as GDS, goal disallowing System….Pagan

20th October 2019 at 10:18 am #50456Newbalance. Its called desperation with a touch of panic sprinkled with a bit of deflection.
Pagan. VAR looked at a potential penalty for us last night. I think KDB was pushed over yet not given. It does seem to be about disallowing goals!
