Liverpool have done well so far. Reckon once things get going for them they will be up there along with Chelsea and City imo. They had a slow start last season too, but this time round they are winning games when not playing well. Whilst last season they had a lot of draws and a loss under their belt.

11th October 2018 at 11:25 am #27079That’s true. IMO it is down to how quickly they adjust to their new home stadium. They had similar problems at Wembley, West Ham with their stadium and Arsenal at the Emirates.

11th October 2018 at 3:22 pm #27085Guys, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs will all be there at the finish, maybe Utd also if they get themselves sorted, there is no certainty in this. We have a very good squad but all it takes is a few injuries, Ref’s decisions going wrong, or just plain off colour, points will be dropped at some point City are wonderful to watch, even sometimes when they are not playing that well but by no means unbeatable
What the league needs is for another team to get in the mix, maybe Everton can do it. It would be good for top 10 to be scapping for it rather than just top4 imo_____________________________

11th October 2018 at 3:29 pm #27086Hightown…just keep away from the “IFS” it is the next match that counts for any team. I am sure you are a great supporter and I enjoy reading your posts, we all have opinions, for myself I have never believed or relied on the past the “IFS” or what might have been.. Last season is over, we are on a clean slate lets all enjoy the future battles. We both have very tough games after the break Burnley and Huddersfield are noy as bad as there position suggest and they will be ready

11th October 2018 at 5:03 pm #27091Brian – while it would be great to have a top 10 scrapping for the title, I think we should be glad we have 4,5 or 6 teams that at the beginning of the season could feasibly challenge. If you look around Europe we are pretty much alone, certainly amongst the major leagues, that have that level of competition. Even the Italian league which used to have both Milan clubs, Napoli, Roma and Lazio scrapping with Juventus, it’s now nailed on Juve every year…is it 6 years on the bounce? Spain is pretty much just the big two, Germany is sewn up by Bayern every year recently, and I just can’t imagine following football in France.
So yeah, more competition would be fantastic, but it’s actually not too bad here at the moment. Might look back at this post in 5 years time after City have won 6 on the bounce, eh??!!

12th October 2018 at 8:50 am #27103In most sports, coming second in the Olympics you come home with a silver medal,” he said.
“In football, it’s nothing. And it’s nothing for me as well. I want to win it, and I know that’s a responsibility.”
“I put all I have, knowledge, passion, heart, experience, I throw everything into the club 100 per cent. I don’t keep anything back.
“It should work, actually, at one point. But until then, we should have a really good time.”
Good attitude from Klopp. I wonder where United would be had they appointed him three years ago?

12th October 2018 at 7:11 pm #27110Who knows nine
Paxton, we know you don’t like klopp one bit. It’s no problem but he had drastically changed everything about the club. If he doesn’t win anything next season or the season after the fans will still support him because he knows exactly what the club is all about.
No cups but 3 finals which gives the supporters a day out and the hope of winning something
We haven’t had European nights like this in nearly ten years. We had 3 finals in 8 years before he came. We have had successive top 4 finishes for the 1st time in 9 years. The club is moving forward off and in the pitch
You think he’s over rated. Your opinion but he’s changed this club. He’s improved players no end. We can play some great stuff. We can now defend and that had cost money but we sold our so called best player to fund this and we still haven’t replaced him. Money can’t but success all the time
We might never win anything under him because city are going to dominate as long as pep is there. We need a cup no doubt but I’m patient. For the first time in years our name is out there again
He has lost 6 finals in a row. We have lost our last 4. It’s a monkey him and the club need to get off their back
Liverpool fans love klopp because he had brought back a bit of hope and I love watching us play. I’m not going overboard. We won’t win the league and we won’t win a cup but we will keep supporting the manager as their is direction on and off the pitch
People are always quick to slate others in football. Last year it was klopp couldn’t get us to defend no matter who we bought. Then it was won’t gwt top 4 because we sold couthino yet no mention of it when we are getting better at defending and scored shit loads of goals without couthino

12th October 2018 at 7:51 pm #27111Klopp is a good Manager and a good fit for Liverpool, eventually, he will win something because he is bringing back that Liverpool way which previous managers did not although I did like Houllier and Benitez. Joe fagan was my favourite but only because he was an ex City stalwart, he did not have a bad record. WE have 2/3 years before Pep goes I think and I also think the next Manager is lined up.City are good now at planning ahead. I think Pochinetti will go back to Europe for a spell, I like his style but the squad needs a re jig to make progress
All about opinion and that is mine._____________________________

12th October 2018 at 8:40 pm #27112England 0-0 half time. Same story. No creativity in midfield. I mean Dier and Henderson!
But I know….lets blame Sterling for everything. Is Ross Barkley playing. They have just said he has done 4 passes to the front three. We lack so badly a KDB or a Silva or a Hazard or anything approaching a top midfield player. Exactly as in the World Cup_____________________________

12th October 2018 at 9:02 pm #27113Two absolute sitters missed by Rashford. I’m sure once again it must have been Sterling’s fault….or so the press will make out. Real sitters!

13th October 2018 at 9:55 am #27121AnonymousSean I actually didn’t mean that in a negative way. I think what Klopp has done for Liverpool is amazing. I don’t so much think he’s overrated but hate the attention he gets from the media. My point was that currently Klopp has a far superior squad to that of United and is still yet to win anything. 999 said can you imagine what Klopp would’ve achieved and based on things currently, he would’ve won nothing. I would say the same if he had referenced poch.

Off course we will never know but I just think he would have been a good fit for United enjoying significantly greater transfer funds than he has at Liverpool as probably so would Pochettino have been even Sarri both of whom have won nothing yet.
Just a bit of wondering/day dreaming by me lads in the tedium of an international break. 🙂

13th October 2018 at 10:44 am #27125The Chelsea winger insists that one of his only regrets is not playing under the Portuguese for as long as he would have liked
Eden Hazard has revealed that he wants to work under Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho again.Hazard played for the Portuguese for two years at Chelsea, between 2013 and 2015, before Mourinho was sacked.
Nevertheless, he won the Premier League title and the League Cup in his second spell at Stamford Bridge, with Hazard a key member of the title-winning side, scoring 14 league goals and providing 10 assists.
See,Jose is getting the sack very soon, and he either is going back to Chelsea or they are both off to Real Madrid.
