6th October 2018 at 8:11 pm #26979The changes by Mourinho turned the game around. If he had really lost the dressing room he wouldn’t have got that performance out of the players. Great game to watch for the neutrals.

6th October 2018 at 10:21 pm #26980Is it a coincidence that Real Madrid have failed to score four matches in a row? And right now Hazard is in the form of his life with 7 goals out of 9 matches? I’m probably nervous about this latest development. I hope we have contigent plan in place for every scenario.
Mourinho’s hasn’t lost his coaching ability but still seems distracted by factors that are outside his control. If he focuses his football, there aren’t that much better coaches. It was his subs that has affected the game. While the same couldn’t be said about Rafa who is a great coach but working under an owner who is allergic to investment. Spurs seem to be limping but more importantly getting the result. What a goal by that Leicester player! Shame they lost the match. Bournemouth will be lucky to keep Eddie Howe for another season in my opinion. He is one of the best coaches in the league at the moment without the budget of that some of his competitors he is competing.
Happy for Huddersfield as they finally got a point. Who knows if this will click their season. Everton under Marco Silva is finally moving in the right direction._____________________________

7th October 2018 at 7:40 am #26981Chelseaman, if Hazard goes it wonβt be until the Summer and if we donβt finish back in the CL it will probably be a slam dunk he does go and in fairness thatβs where a player of his quality should be playing,
But if we do get back n the CL then we might have a chance of hanging on to him which is one of the reasons why the EL is as important to the Club as finishing in the top 4 as it gives us two bites of the cherry.
I thought Mourinho proved himself to be still very tactically astute today with the changes he made to both personell and tactics. It swung the game back Unitedβs way in the second half.
Great game to watch if you were a neutral, feel for Newcastle they probably deserved to go home with something.

7th October 2018 at 3:04 pm #26983Nervous wreck! Even after all these years of ups and downs. Dont know about you guys but I am far less nervous watching live at the match. I hate watching a big game on TV!
Think I’ll go and do some gardening before kick off. The other half has gone to ride her horse so its just me and the dogs. They hate it when I swear at the TV._____________________________

7th October 2018 at 3:18 pm #26985AnonymousIt may sound odd to say that Liverpool are a team suffering for from a lack of quality, given where we are in the league but that’s the case, at least for the moment.
Going into the Spurs match, I felt it was a bridge to far. It very nearly was. Going into the Chelsea match, I thought the same.. and it was even closer. The Napoli match was so bad that I’m thinking that we might finally see a positive reaction and honestly, if it’s going to happen, it’s got to be now. We can’t go up against City and play like we have and hope to come away with anything.
I’ve had a bother this season and that is that we don’t look like last seasons team, in attack. Our defence has been on a journey of incredible development over the last year or so. It’s gone from UTTERLY rubbish to really good. I think it’s our defence that’s been carrying us, along with our industrious midfield but we’ll have to see that flair today if we’ve any chance.
We’ve got to see Salah on form, along with Mane and Firmino. The runs have been poor from them all, so far. The balls from midfield to them have been just as bad. Which is causing which? or are they both just not up to it? A and B, for me. Although Wijnaldum and Milner are probably our 2 best players right now.

7th October 2018 at 3:53 pm #26986Looking at the line-ups, I’m going to say advantage City… Salahpool’s midfield looks a bit lightweight in comparison…
