Scope for a late winner, but the question is, which one of them want it?

30th September 2019 at 9:44 pm #48897What is FRED?
What is FRED? Short for Federal Reserve Economic Data, FRED is an online database consisting of hundred of thousands of economic data time series from scores of national, international, public, and private sources. FRED, created and maintained by the Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, goes far beyond simply providing data: It combines data with a powerful mix of tools that help the user understand, interact with, display, and disseminate the data. In essence, FRED helps users tell their data stories. The purpose of this article is to guide the potential (or current) FRED user through the various aspects and tools of the database.A Brief Historyβ¦
FRED began in the early 1990s as an offshoot of the long-running legacy at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis of providing monetary data to help better understand the Fedβs policy decisions. Before the popularization of the World Wide Web, the data were provided in list form on a dial-in, electronic bulletin board system. The data were organized into categories containing roughly 300 data series and expanded from there. Perhaps surprisingly, FRED did not begin as part of a grand scheme or strategic objective. Rather, it grew over time in a very organic way. St. Louis Fed staff who were involved either directly with the FRED project or working on the periphery developed tools for the database in an independent, ad hoc manner. One example was in 1995 when a member of the Research Department staff decided to write the code that would officially take FRED βonline.β Further work would bring the following FRED developments:
That do you? π

30th September 2019 at 9:53 pm #48901Reckon 1-1 was pretty fair, 2nd half better than the first, but both teams didn’t really pull up trees.
Don’t think Leicester have much to worry about… π

30th September 2019 at 9:57 pm #48903It’s like a complete landscape where these 2 teams are concerned.
They’ve changed and become nicey-nicey and likeable.
From their fans point of view, they’re wondering where’s the thrust and somebody to grab the bull-by-the-horns.
I dunno. I can’t see at the moment, any of these teams able to put together a run of straight wins. Leicester look a lot more resilient.

1st October 2019 at 2:12 am #48907Chelsea would have beaten either United or Arsenal on their performances today. The future is bright the future is blue.

1st October 2019 at 4:40 am #48908Average game by two very average sides. Just no goals in this Utd side at all. McTominay the one shining light with his driving runs from the middle. Solskjaer is on borrowed time after Utd’s worst start in 30 years

1st October 2019 at 4:50 am #48909Chelsea1967, it’s worth remembering how good Utd were that first season under Solskjaer before getting too carried away by Lampard. He might well be the messiah but it’s far too early to tell. Chelsea are very much still riding the new manager bounce. If things look as promising a year from now, then I’ll believe Lampard is the real deal.

1st October 2019 at 6:12 am #48910AnonymousToo early and unwise to get excited and making bad luck childish statements like the future is bright blue, we in an average position in the league and we lost our first CL home game against average opponents. All we doing is adding unnecessary pressure on to the club. Give Lampard some space and time. We adults not kids.

1st October 2019 at 7:05 am #48911The future is bright the future is blue is just a bit of fun but Moos is right we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves despite the obvious promise of the young players.
The Ed makes a good point about new Manager bounce and how it has turned around on Ole and as I said yesterday I’m sure we’ll have good days and bad days given the number of young players in the team.
The big positive for Lampard though is the quality of the young players he has at his disposal and the fact that he still has James, Rudiger,Emerson Loftus Cheek,Kante and Hudson Odoi as well as Pulisic once he’s fully acclimatised to life at Chelsea to come back into the team as well as the fact that Frank is sitting on a very significant transfer war chest which if spent wisely following the ban can only add to that.
I think we can only get better with time patience and a bit of money invested on transfers but it’s far to early for people like Paul Merson to be claiming Chelsea will be a force in the PL in a couple of years despite the early promise.
Forgive us though if we get a bit carried away but having lost the best player in the PL been pretty much forced into appointing a rookie Manager and having had to deal with a two window transfer ban that no one else in the PL has ever had to deal with the occasional ray of sunshine breaking through does get us a bit excited.
Two tough away games to come in the CL and the PL before the international break and we Chelsea fans mustn’t get carried away with the positive predictions of people like Carragher and Merson Chelsea have a mountain to climb to get back to challenging the likes of City and Liverpool even if there are some green shoots beginning to appear down at the Bridge.

1st October 2019 at 8:59 am #48920Stevo in fairness mate. Credit were credit is due. Arsenal showed some fight. Thereβs hardly any mention of all the young players emery had introduced
They battled really well. Saka looks a very good prospect.
Both teams lacked real quality
Adlab, the worst ref was on display last night. Friend is shocking up there with mose as the worst ref around

1st October 2019 at 9:04 am #48921Saka was the best of a bad bunch, how screwed would the Goonies be if Boomerang picks up an injury??
And agree with Waspy, the ref didn’t cover himself in glory at all, very inconsistent in his decisions, but equally bad for both teams so I supposed it sort of even out in the end…
