Weird that Ed selling Lukaku and not replacing him. I’m not sure the current state of the squad is down to Ole. I think he should have been better supported this Summer.
Will he get another Summer looks unlikely currently but United’s problems go deeper than just Ole imo.

22nd September 2019 at 4:28 pm #48021Why can’t I be entertained, Micky? I’ve paid my dues to my Finnish Cable Company, now I want to be entertained, and for a neutral, lots of VAR nonsense and a few red cards would be great… π
And, of course, the meltdowns on here are fun too!!

22nd September 2019 at 4:33 pm #48022Ed, I half think the board didnβt better support Solksjaer a few months ago because they didnβt fully trust him so they just made more essential or younger, longer term signings and they were prepared to take a hit in the short term until they do find a manager they can really back.

22nd September 2019 at 4:46 pm #48024AnonymousI once said that Trent had a technique that was like Gerrard (in how he shapes to and hit the ball). It was a very nice goal but his defensive work will have to improve fast.

22nd September 2019 at 4:58 pm #48029AnonymousWe’re really not on it defensively today.

OH man, that was way too long. Also , it’s too tight.

22nd September 2019 at 5:01 pm #48033AnonymousNice!!! I will say though, I feel bad for you Chelsea lads for that very late VAR call. They took ages to rule that goal out. It’s like being slow-rolled in poker. I don’t like that one bit.
great from Firmino there though. I still think we’ll have to wake up defensively. Chelsea have caused us problems 5 or 6 times and it’s a long game.

22nd September 2019 at 5:01 pm #48034Donβt underestimate the negative effect that disallowed goal had on Chelsea which probably contributed to them conceding again.

22nd September 2019 at 5:02 pm #48035Well i have to say we had been the biggest losers of the VAR. and Liverpool had been the biggest winners so far. this was the third goal we scored against them. and VAR disallowed it.

22nd September 2019 at 5:02 pm #48037Awful decision by Oliver. Never a free kick. He is an absolutely useless referee. Wlinaldum ran into the Chelsea playerand fell over.
He really is a poor ref. Started off ok but like the rest developed into rubbish._____________________________

22nd September 2019 at 5:03 pm #48038Mikus and Nine, both very good points. I think the whole Ole thing, whilst it was an ok temporary reprieve from the Jose disaster, put the board in a difficult position where they felt compelled to give him the job, albeit very prematurely. It was clearly never the intention from the beginning and so you do wonder if that’s what held them back. As someone else said before, the three signings were all safe signings. They’ll all be starters for years to come, whoever comes in.
Not really sure where Utd go from here. He 100% won’t get sacked yet. Unless things take a real turn and we nosedive down the league, I think he’ll get until the end of the season (or until we mathematically can’t get in the top 4). Part of me says we should go for the experience and pedigree of Allegri. The other part says go for a young, fresh manager like Nagelsmann at Leipzig or the Ajax coach.
Our only saving grace so far is that Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal have all been just as rubbish!

22nd September 2019 at 5:06 pm #48039I can’t see Chelsea coming back from here. the disallowed goal has killed the morale and moments later a soft free kick sealed it.

Not wrong there, it’s a Top2 now, it’s just a Scottish League in disguise!!_____________________________
