Adlab, I feel your pain mate. Had this been me, I’d have been real upset. I think if anything, City will go on a run of games just relentlessly winning them.
It breeds perspective into what would happen if Van Dijk was injured for example. Klopp is tweaking the first 11 by reintegrating Ox, but it’s still taking him time to re-adjust.
Squad depth is mentioned, but there’s always going to be a core of players you’ll wanting to rely on to see you through the line, but the number of matches over of the course of the season for me demands too much.
Don’t be too hard on yourselves.

14th September 2019 at 8:56 pm #47535Norwich City and Ipswich Town, the only East Anglian Teams to my Knowledge being in the Prem. Good to see a different mix of Teams coming in. Unfortunate for Sheff United today with their defeat versus Southampton.

But thatβs it mate. I wonβt be upset when Liverpool drop unexpected points. It happens. We have won 14 games in a row and we will drop points soon. Itβs how you bounce back after a suprise result that matters mate

14th September 2019 at 9:21 pm #47538Happy birthday for tommorow Nil.
From a LFC point of a view, and no disrespect to City fans on here, but it’s been a pretty good pre-birthday day of football!
Sean absolutely correct. Every team drops points, it’s going to happen to LFC at some point.

14th September 2019 at 9:22 pm #47539Thanks Sean,
Exactly mate, this defeat can happen to us quite easily. As much as it’s a great result for Liverpool, there’s nothing at all to get too excited about.
I hope those Match Of The Day guys go easy on Pep, but I’m sure he’ll be able to handle them with Class.

14th September 2019 at 10:36 pm #475423ps, rightly so mate, Liverpool will drop points and possibly lose, maybe more than my favourite saying of ‘Lost 1’.
The Mentality noticeably is instilled with the Cool-Calm-Collective.
Trent’s frustration did give me a scare that maybe this isn’t going to be our day.
Of course, I’d like us to win the League and for any nearest challenging team theoretically to drop points, though as far as Manchester City are concerned, utmost Respect for them. They are just too much hard work though haha, and potentially I could see like 20 wins on the Bounce, they are T 2000 – Terminator 2,3 and the rest haha π

14th September 2019 at 11:03 pm #47543Great game to watch today. Chelsea had been at their best. and time and time it has proven that our biggest strength lie in attack. but delighted to see Tomori another academy start come and and put a shift and score a stunning goal. unreal is how all of our goals are scored by players who came from our academy. Abraham-7, Mount-3 and Tomori-1. and while i’m not still comfortable with the state of our defence. i have say our attack gives a cause for optimism. we are still way off the pace in the race for top 4. and i think at this stage and this young squad, it’s really a big ask. but who knows surprises do happen in football. nobody expected us to finish in the top 4 last season.
I would say the top 3 positions are now nailed for City,Liverpool and Spurs. not sure which order they will finish as the form that Liverpool is in now scares people. and City has lost today and are 5 points adrift. the race for the fourth spot is Arsenal’s to lose. both United and Chelsea are still work in progress and both have managers who doesn’t poses the kind of experience Emery has. and their attack is fantastic also. although they have the generous David at the back. but he is capable of defending on his day. his experience and leadership qualities are also fantastic. let us see how things go on as the season progress.
That injury to Rudiger is a concern. i hope it’s not serious one, for the 45 minute he has played. he brought stability to our defence. and we hope also to have Kante back before the Liverpool game. otherwise if we don’t have those two in place. and we face Liverpool’s lethal attack. it will destroy the confidence of our young team.

Yes and no. We have Gomez. Yes because any team would suffer by losing potentially their best player but you don’t want to get me started about Gomez = future king of the Universe again π
Happy Birthday though Nil. If ever the was a a gift from the footballing gods, this was it.
