Vardy’s goal was class today, in behind , chips it on the volley over the keeper from outside the box, seen it before with him many times, class player Vardy.

31st August 2019 at 5:02 pm #46802AnonymousChelsea appointed a championship manager who canโt set a team up to defend. If you canโt beat relegation fodder then we are in trouble with them. Saw Tomori in the side and thought Sheffield would get something from the game. Not saying frank is the wrong man for the job, but his game management was aweful at derby and itโs continuing at Chelsea. Defensively we are all over the place and again, point at palace and Cahill – six points from two games one clean sheet.
Anyhow, That aguero chap is rather good isnโt he. Can salah inspire liverpool? Itโs the salah and aguero show… enjoy it because theyโre out of this world players.

31st August 2019 at 5:25 pm #46803It is a worrying result today 442 I agree mate.
We put ourselves in a great position half time and throw it away through naivety and I am sad to tend to agree with you, bad game management. On the players side and probably lampards side too.
Finally have a player that looks to be a decent no.9 and we are averaging 2 goals against each game, tammy scored 2 and was unlucky not to get hat trick forcing a very good reaction save, but we shouldnt need him to score 3 to win a game. Gutted with result today. Not as though we played 120 mins against pool 2 days ago is it.

31st August 2019 at 5:44 pm #46804AnonymousLucky… itโs a really green defence. Iโm hoping rece James finds fitness and despite his night, Dave is moved into the middle.
I was pretty gutted in the manner Cahill left. Club captain and could have been a calming influence. Anyhow. We are where we are and this is going to be a difficult and frustrating season. Would Everton like zouma?
Positives so far are abraham starting to score, mount and Barkley. Ditch zonal…
If you have a natural born goalscorer in your side you have a chance in this division. Hence why liverpool and city are where they are. And theyโre brilliant to watch.

31st August 2019 at 5:46 pm #46805AnonymousAnd we have two finishers in our team. Abrahamโs and bats… who should cut his loss and get out in January witha transfer to stick two fingers up to the club over his treatment. Bloody disgraceful. Tammy and bats up front would roll most pl defences…

31st August 2019 at 5:56 pm #46807Batshuayi can go with my blessing 442, is an awful centre forward and was terrible when he came on imo. His touch is terrible, doesnt hold up the ball, terrible interplay, just bang average. He will score goals at a decent rate for an average team but both Tammy and Giroud are better. I dont believe lamps should have brought bats or young gilmour on today. Nothing against glilmour though, its just we had enough inexperience on the pitch already.
The central defence is a big problem that rudiger only half solves when fit. I have less and less faith in Zouma each week, christensen was dropped today, and that leaves us young tomori who has a lot of potential but is a prem league rookie. We need to set up in a way that protects that back line better, but kante only half solves that when he is fit too because lamps will continue to allow kante to go high up the field leaving jorginho alone in front of our defence.
It has to be 4231 with or without kante imo.

31st August 2019 at 6:29 pm #46815Looks pretty comfy at half-time, but nothing to take for granted. We need to keep the foot on the gas pedal and strive for at least another goal.

31st August 2019 at 6:34 pm #46816How long before Lampard gets some stick? You mean when will Ole get the sack, and Kun some credit he clearly deserves-one of the best strikers in the world?
Lampard deserves huge credit for playing the youth._____________________________

31st August 2019 at 6:47 pm #46817Why is Britain is no longer producing top, top managers? We can produce good coaches and motivators who can coach a basic philosophy, and we have others who can get teams organised. But we donโt seem to have any deeper footballing intellects that can put the two together with balance, whilst additionally possessing that crucial attribute of being meticulous with the small details.

31st August 2019 at 6:53 pm #46818AnonymousLiverpool have signed chris wood, not scored a goal in Burnley colours so far if Iโm not mistaken. On the scoresheet today.
Lampard will get flak, but heโs learning with a young group of players. Youngest in CFC history since early noughies or something.
Hazard underservingly won an award for lacklustre displays in the Europa last season… aguero isnโt even shortlisted for top honours. Scored one of the best goals Iโve ever seen at the bridge. Please can he have a clean sweep of awards this season? Perhaps he scores so many people overlook him?! Unreal, talent and one of the best the league has seen.
Very jealous of city.
Three way shoot out… Henry, drogba or aguero… imagine that as a line up?!

31st August 2019 at 6:56 pm #46819AnonymousMikus… true, would love to see Sean Dyche be given a run at a big club… if it all goes south for Lampard, Iโd have dyche for 18 months and give him a budget.
