Wouldnt be shocked to lose away to Saints, nothing surprises me anymore with this United team.Ole seems so out of his depth,as if nobody cares about him.

28th August 2019 at 8:40 pm #46563The same tactics have been used already against City and it has worked at times, Newcastle included, last season It will also work against other teams than City as well, so where does this point end? It does not. Is it all to do with anything that beats City will be OK? I want to see a football match, Spurs played a defence game against us but it was an attractive match to watch, sometimes you have to admire defending but I would not like it to be a regular thing as a spectator

31st August 2019 at 12:41 pm #46787Southampton starting really well and pressing very high. Causing utd some problems but if its one thing utd can do well its get behind and I think they will catch southampton a few times before the end of the game

31st August 2019 at 12:42 pm #46788Just done it actually, james again. Great strike, wasnt a counter goal, james just cut inside and hit a great strike, pleanty of southampton players back.

31st August 2019 at 12:51 pm #46790James could prove to be Man Utdβs most important signing this summer. Heβs full of beans and has added a vital freshness to their attack and scored a fabulous goal last week, and has now scored again today. Will it be enough though for the team as a whole this season? A step in the right direction anyway.

31st August 2019 at 12:56 pm #46791James has been great so far for united, proving himself a great signing. I know there was a lot of doom and gloom after losing home to palace, but from what I have seen united are stronger despite losing herrera and their sub striker, I think bissaka, maguire and james have overall improved united. Might not be by a great deal but is noticeable to myself at least. I suppose the argument united fans would be within their rights to make is that the strengthening hasnt been to the level it should have been and I wont argue with that.

31st August 2019 at 1:11 pm #46793This should be an easy one now for Utd. Soton play OK but dont look like they can score. Utd will get another chance and that will be it.
To me De Gea still looks low on confidence. Could be another mistake maybe._____________________________

31st August 2019 at 1:16 pm #46794I know Walker is not the greatest but is playing well this season. Wan Bissaka better? I dont think so.

31st August 2019 at 1:23 pm #46795Dont think I have seen anyone argue bissaka is better than walker adlab, but I agree with you all the same. I think defensively bissaka is as good as anyone but great teams need more from a full back and walker is an exceptional offensive full back, one of the best in the world in his position imo. We have similar problem with azpi, as good as any full back defensively but offensively not that great.

31st August 2019 at 2:46 pm #46796Surprised how Utd faded in the game. They seemed to run out of steam in midfield with Rashford just dashing forward with limited purpose. I think all Utd fans know they need more creativity in midfield. They had the funds from Lukaku but oddly didnt buy?
If Soton had a decent striker they might have won the game._____________________________

31st August 2019 at 3:55 pm #46799another two goals for Abraham. our defence seems to have improved with the introduction of Tomori. kudos to Lamps for spotting that. still Barkley is not playing to his potential for me. he has been killing our attacks.

31st August 2019 at 4:02 pm #46800Barkley was vital in build up to first goal chelsea.man with the back heel, but over all I dont think he is playing that well either, I think mount struggling on left today too and when we have all our wingers fit mount will be central and barkley will be on bench.
Delighted for Tammy mate, goals, hold up play, movement, pressing, he looks the best option we have had since costa and we may finally have a no.9.
