21st April 2019 at 3:04 pm #38386Had Solskjaer been in charge longer, questions would now be being asked whether he still had the dressing room. Though they might now get asked regardless. What a stupid stupid decision that was by Woodward – I’d be making him a little less employed if I was Man Utd.

21st April 2019 at 3:10 pm #38389I always said a huge risk with announcing Ole was that we end the season terribly and face a summer of upheaval with a manager who is clearly not good enough and being forced to keep him on in order to save face and that’s exactly what is happening. There’s no way they’ll get rid of him now before the summer as they’ll look a complete joke. So, instead they’ll throw loads of money at the problem, further digging the hole we’ve made for ourselves. Feel for Ole. He was a great interim choice but a terrible long term one

21st April 2019 at 3:11 pm #38390Liverpool fans can kiss goodbye to the league if they’re relying on us to get anything at home to City. No chance of that

We both said this. They should have waited to evaluate the season._____________________________

21st April 2019 at 3:21 pm #38392Adlab, not all down to the manager. But you can’t praise him when Utd were on their run if you can’t criticise him when they go into freefall. As we all said, they should have waited.

21st April 2019 at 3:26 pm #38393It is interesting that all of us from different clubs agreed they should have waited.
What do we know!

21st April 2019 at 3:32 pm #38396Unfortunately, many Utd fans and seemingly the board were blinded by emotion and nostalgia. Expecting a manager who failed miserably at Cardiff and been managing in Norway since then, to come in and save a club who demand success was naive but admirable. To announce it before the end of the season? Pure stupidity!

21st April 2019 at 3:34 pm #38397Had he not yet been announced, nobody would have batted an eyelid had the board now said “thanks Ole for what you’ve done but we stick to the plan and hire the best coach we can find”. Now, we have just dug a massive hole which I see no way out of. It’s going to end in tears but the only choice we have now is to Tey to throw money at trying to delay the inevitable

21st April 2019 at 3:47 pm #38401Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Keita; Salah, Firmino, Mane.
Substitutes: Fabinho, Milner, Gomez, Sturridge, Mignolet, Shaqiri, Origi
Strong line up; hopefully bag a load of goals in the Cardiff net and rack up our goal diff.
Hopefully, a run out for Gomez.

I didn’t expect to be saying I told you (them) so , so soon. quite a few of us on here knew it was a mistake, immediately but the people in charge at Utd are oblivious.
Woodward has surely got to get sacked now? I mean COME ON! Like, this is terrible for Liverpool also. Ye were our best chance at beating City. Honestly, ye’ve no chance now after today.

We know the very basics. Unlike Woodward.

21st April 2019 at 4:04 pm #38405AnonymousAnyway, all we can do is win the games we have left and see. Hopefully this won’t affect our lads and they’ll go out and keep the pressure on City, who honestly, were nervy the last day.

Eddy, I know you like to mention Poncho has spent 300m and all that, but here’s an interesting chart highlighting squad values going back to 2012…
