Mak, I’m more than convinced we won’t drop anything this afternoon, and that’s definitely me not being cocky or anything – just confidence in the way of late we’ve been winning and Salah coming back to form.

21st April 2019 at 11:49 am #38365Threeps, Iβll be disappointed either way.
Itβs not in our hands. I said it after the Everton game. I canβt see ciry dripping points
Nothing to do with us.

Pep has actually rated us to be one of the Best Liverpool Sides he’s faced
Against the current table, we’re nearly 20 points ahead of Spurs.
Klopp’s helm since taking over Rodgers in 2015 shows progression and back to back Champions League Football.
It’s beggars belief though as to why we’ve yet to win Silverware in spite of 3 Cup Finals. We’ve come very close and this season too, we have come close. I don’t believe we are cursed and it’s only a matter of time now. We’ve got to keep it moving forward and ensure we strengthen in the Summer.

21st April 2019 at 12:32 pm #38368Newbalance.
He said the current Liverpool side are THE best. Not just one of the best.I think you m8ght just get there. We looked tired yesterday, no KDB and Utd struggling for top 4. A win on Wednesday is a big ask.

21st April 2019 at 12:48 pm #38369Haha true HH I did expect is to be out of it with 4 or 5 to go but whether itβs 4 or 5 or just a point, it doesnβt really matter does it.
Nil your post is exactly what Iβm saying, every year itβs something, this year itβll be we nearly hit 100 points but still didnβt win it, Mak says the only reason we wonβt win is because thereβs a team more freakier than us, you see what I mean, next year, next year. You say next season we will get better as there is togetherness & we will get better, do you think c$ty will just sit still, they have a lot more funds available than us & they will strengthen again. We are batting way above our average just competing with them over a season as it is let alone them strengthening.
All sport is these days is the club with the most money wins, you can literally buy comps & I hate it._____________________________

21st April 2019 at 12:55 pm #38370Adlab, haha definitely a compliment π
Naturally there’s going to be a heartbreak with the prospect of points hitting the 90s.
I don’t think in the history of the Prem, I’ve ever experience such a ‘Barometer’.
You mention KDB, but Silva and Silva I would imagine would play and United really need Herrera and Matic back to handle their speed and spark.
I need to see how they fare at Everton today and they could do with a win if wanting to secure a Champions League spot.

21st April 2019 at 1:00 pm #38371Anyway lads hopefully a win tonight with no injuries. I do think we are a better chance of getting at Barca & into another final, at least thatβs in our hands & we are going exceptionally well but I never like to see us drop points & Iβm proud of the grit weβve shown to push the moneybags all the way. Off to bed for me.

21st April 2019 at 1:03 pm #38372Oz, I do get where you’re coming from mate. I was thinking even if we don’t win Silverware, we’re planting the seed and we’re gaining the experience. Unless we go into a complete landslide and the Manager loses the trust of the players, I can only see Klopp sticking around for more years to come.
Pep on the other hand is a different proposition as I believe he was more specifically hired to win the CL. He hasn’t now achieved that in 3 years.
It’s all very well having the luxury of a bottomless pit amount money but with that, comes with very high expectations. Pep has felt the pressure. If City don’t win the CL next season, I’d guess he could be on his way out. And I’m not sure whether every player in the squad will want to stick around if their heads are turned elsewhere and especially if they’re not getting regular game time.
It’s all conjecture and I could be way off the mark, but essentially, these are just my own thoughts.

21st April 2019 at 2:24 pm #38376Ole!
This is known as a ” reverse Mourinho effect”. Nonsense of course. I do wonder what opinion is on the fulltime appointment before the end of the season. I would have waited. I detect a SAF component into it._____________________________

21st April 2019 at 2:51 pm #38383All the years of the Premier League, I’ve never seen a 3-0 from Goodison versus Man United – would never have happened under Ferguson.
