23rd April 2019 at 9:02 pm #38643This is starting to get frustrating…
Fair play to Brighton, they’re bloody organized…. 30 minutes to go…

23rd April 2019 at 9:07 pm #38644Up until the recent Wolves games, Brighton had conceded 10 goals in their last 3 games. You can see what Chris Hughtons priority now is.

23rd April 2019 at 9:43 pm #38651Can’t agree with that puppy! Setting up like that is perfectly allowed, don’t get me wrong, but the stat on my screen, about 2 minutes before the goal, said 81% possession, 850 odd passes of which 48% were in the Brighton third, and 27 goal attempts (vs 3)!! It was anti-football form Brighton, which they are perfectly allowed to do, but I’m sure as hell not going to feel sorry for a team, any team, who does that and loses in the 88th minute, regardless!
Agree with the nice goal part, mind you! π

23rd April 2019 at 9:50 pm #38653I can understand how Brighton will be feeling – does put their position at risk.
Cardiff remain 3 points behind them and left to play:
Fulham Away
Crystal Palace Home
Manchester United AwayBrighton meanwhile are left with:
Newcastle Home
Arsenal Away
Man City AwayAll games they could quite easily lose.
I’m wondering if the Title race came down to the Final day and whether Brighton would need to avoid defeat to stay in the Top Flight.

23rd April 2019 at 10:17 pm #38656No Chuck’s of course Spurs deserved the win although they were a way away from their form v City but Brighton gave it everything so to lose it in the 88th minute was a bit of a heartbreaker for them but the goal from Eriksen deserved to win the game as did Spurs.

23rd April 2019 at 11:33 pm #38657You’d feel hard-done by for the application put in and you can’t legislate for a Top Quality Strike which from a Spurs point of view was what was needed.
You have to take into account Tottenham themselves are fighting to hold on a CL place. The way this match was shaping it looked as though The Seagulls were good for a draw.
I have seen teams play like this against Liverpool and for all the pretty passing and the moving around from one side to another, sometimes I just want ‘A’ player to grab the bull by the horns and Strike at the Goalmouth – at the very least, test their Keeper!
So from that point of view, it’s actually a great 3 points for Spurs. It’s heart-breaking sure for Brighton, but this is what the Premier League epitomizes in excitement and quality. You have to be able to see it through right until that final whistle has blown.

24th April 2019 at 5:31 am #38660The team having a crack won so great result IMO. I get why they defended in numbers but as a neutral Iβd rather see teams having a crack so good on Spurs.

24th April 2019 at 11:24 am #38679From a Chelsea perspective hoping that Wolves and City can do us a bit of a favour tonight.
The FA have done their bit by pitching in and charging Sarri which means he should get a touchline ban at OT on Sunday a full Stadium ban might be better but every little bit helps.?

24th April 2019 at 12:33 pm #38685Wolves are a decent team, wouldnβt surprise me to see them win. Theyβre the only ones Iβm worried about for us.
