The mighty Chelsea still have to play both of them yet away from home. Maybe we can be mightier than we have been and have some say in where the title is heading although it is doubtful considering the mess we are in right now. We can still have a role to play re the top four having to play both United away and Newcastle at home. We can still have something to strive for the rest of this season in being spoilers π

22nd April 2023 at 8:15 am #206464This was absolutely going to happen to Arsenal. Your up againest city and you just canβt drop any points in the run in. An 8 point gap to city is nothing. They just keep winning. They have being here so many times. Arsenal havenβt
Itβs was a huge opportunity and I canβt see Arsenal doing this next season.,

22nd April 2023 at 9:46 am #206465Yeah Sean, just like spurs in year leicester won it you can’t help think this was arsenal’s chance.
They can beat city though and so while I am now favouring city it’s not over until its over.

22nd April 2023 at 11:21 am #206466Lucky, yeah that’s right mate. I got my calculations wrong. Even with that win which likely will be a big ask will then mean reliance on goal difference and Gunners to have to win every single game.
The way things have gone, they just appear as more stumbling blocks than predicted 3 points.

23rd April 2023 at 1:29 pm #206470Right then, starting with what looks like a 4-3-3 rather than a 3-4-3… something I’ve been thinking about for weeks… let’s see how it goes in what can only be called a “must-win”… not a draw will do!!
Time to show up, lads!!

23rd April 2023 at 2:21 pm #206473Strange for 2 big clubs, Spurs & Chelsea, to sack their managers but actually get worse.

23rd April 2023 at 2:26 pm #206475That Spurs defence has been terrible the whole season yet they still chosen to play, in our playing days you have one bad game and you out.

23rd April 2023 at 2:35 pm #206477Don’t think any team Conte was managing would be down by 5 goals after 20 odd minutes

23rd April 2023 at 4:01 pm #206479Well that pretty much seals top 4 for Newcastle & Man Utd. From Liverpool’s point of view I’d rather stay out the EL places but with Spurs imploding ahead of us we start rising up into them now π

23rd April 2023 at 4:25 pm #206482Personally, I’m not even thinking about teams slipping up or 4th. We’re done as far as I’m concerned. I just want us to get this new playing system more familiar and just win matches with minimal injuries as possible.

23rd April 2023 at 9:15 pm #206483I’m just hoping Spurs don’t sack the stand-in manager before we play them. As Mikus says, it’s mad how much worse both Chelsea and Spurs have got despite sacking their managers. Neither has had the traditional bounce you usually see.
Delighted to make another Wembley final after that dire performance mid week. Thought Brighton were excellent. He’s created something really special there De Zerbi. Really moved them on a few levels since Potter left. They’d have been worthy finalists. Fortunately, we won a shootout for once. De Gea never, ever saves pens so we really are relying on the opponent to make a mistake in pens. We’ve been so up and down this season. When we’re bad, we’re absolutely awful. The midfield still lacks the dynamism and the guile needed to control games like this.
