1st April 2018 at 5:52 pm #18964Congrats to all the Spus lads on here imperious performance by Eriksen 28:years is a long time and it couldn’t last forever.
If the CL wasn’t already over for Chelsea it is now and it might be a blessing in disguise given everything that needs to happen at the Bridge this Summer.

1st April 2018 at 6:06 pm #18968I think the game turned on the Eriksen goal which was fabulous. And then the wonderful ball for Ali for the second and a great take by Ali. Chelsea did have a poor second half but sometimes you have to give credit to the opposition players.

1st April 2018 at 6:07 pm #18969Cannot believe Conte keeps playing the useless Fabregas, just like United playing Fellaini.

1st April 2018 at 6:09 pm #18970Morata can be a frustrating presence, spending so much time on the floor he could be nicknamed ‘Underlay’ – say it with a Spanish accent, like Speedy Gonzalez – but he knows what he is about when a cross comes in. There was no chance Lloris would not be made to pay for his error of judgement….

1st April 2018 at 6:10 pm #18971The EL places should go down to 7th place assuming Southampton don’t win the FA Cup so we should scrape that!?

1st April 2018 at 6:43 pm #18973Mav, was saying something along those lines on Cescy a couple of weeks ago.
He’s slowed and the demands of the game now it’s always going to be an ask to contain good players like Deli and Son.
Kante needs to be surrounded by better midfielders like the previous examples in Essien, Makalele et al.

1st April 2018 at 6:49 pm #18974This is where we are and have been for a fair few years as far as teams and top 4 goes.
‘Sky 4’ were default, and if Wenger was having a bad season, the minimum he could secure you was top 4. But Spurs in recent seasons have broken that mould. Man City themselves for more than half a dozen years have.
In honesty, Liverpool are more of the weakest, and it would have to take two very good teams to have a more unproductive season.
When Leicester won it, lot’s of good teams we out of sorts for one reason or another.

1st April 2018 at 7:25 pm #18975Cecs is the best we’ve got at the moment unfortunately Bakayoko has been awful and doesn’t look the same player he did at Monaco and the big question is whether he can get back there and Drinkwater is no more than perhaps a useful squad player at Chelsea and Barkley is recovering from injury and needs a pre season at least.
Key position in the Summer for strengthening imo we need a regular partner for Kante.

1st April 2018 at 9:33 pm #18981Surprised at the result at the bridge tonight. The hoodoo appears to be broken. Conte will be gone in the summer without doubt. Chelsea will spend really big and another top class manager will be drafted in. Interesting times ahead.

2nd April 2018 at 8:21 am #18984AnonymousThe players rightly get the praise, but for me one man has made the difference to Spurs and that man is our manager Mauricio Pochettino.
I just hope that he intends to stick around as I reckon other clubs will come calling._____________________________

2nd April 2018 at 8:59 am #18986Reckon we have another year or two yet Bricky… getting closer and closer to something special with every season with Poncho at the helm… now, if rumors are to be believed, expect a flurry of new contracts issued to the “keepers”, sometime between the end of the season and the World Cup!

2nd April 2018 at 10:02 am #18990It’s all very well thinking of the ideology to bring in a new manager, then spend big on bringing in new players, but I believe the loss of JT who was their leader for many years is a loss in itself.
I don’t really see at the moment, any leaders. Plus, the void of Costa and Matip is effectively the spine of the team.
I’m just not sure the thinking process in the purchases of Barkley, Drinkwater and Giroud. They are not those type of examples, like Mikel, Zirchov, Baletti et al.
When Courtious doesn’t play too, that replacement Goalie doesn’t really appear trustworthy between the sticks. Sadly, Conte’s time is more than likely to be up.

2nd April 2018 at 11:12 am #18997Nasty tackle by vertongan on Hazard. Should have been a red surely. The ref must have thought Hazard played for City!
