Paul I’m not decoding that just tell me if he played more than half the games he has been available for. I don’t think he has.

16th April 2023 at 2:54 pm #206199In other words he has not been first choice for pep for years.
Now that pep, inspired by tuchel, has come up with a way to improve on tuchels chelsea system he has a perfect role for stones in absence of zinchenko and cancelo.
If you want to swat away my comments re tuchel, watch this first and see how what he is saying about chelsea applies to you now, with exception that you are doing it better. He said this about us at the time chelsea beat city 3 games in a row culminating in champs league final.

16th April 2023 at 3:13 pm #206200If arsenal give up another 2 goal lead this weekend I think they will lose all belief. That could be a big miss from saka.

16th April 2023 at 3:44 pm #206202Reminds me of our Title races with City. A city win would make it 1 point, but an all important point because of City’s superior goal difference so in essence, they can’t afford to drop all 3.

16th April 2023 at 3:58 pm #206203They’ll win on Friday Night when they play first. City will have 2 games in hand by then. The Ethiad game is the key.

16th April 2023 at 4:01 pm #206204Arsenal have played one game more with 4 point lead. A draw at city would still be enough to win title providing they can match city’s results in remaining games but it will take nerves of steal for them to get over the line. I can’t help but favour city again now but it ain’t over until its over.

16th April 2023 at 4:38 pm #206206Was going to have a chorus about choking like a midfielder on a date (no names were mentioned!) but I reckon Sweedy might have an issue with that…

16th April 2023 at 5:02 pm #206207Whatever happens from now and then, Arsenal had a fantastic season and will be a role model to teams who are in a slump like Chelea and Liverool. Arsenal are the real winners of this season, and with the core of their squad and manager being young players, they will dominate the league for years to come.

16th April 2023 at 5:03 pm #206208YB, you are very correct to give the credit you do imo 👍
But only one team will win the title and be the true winners, not to dismiss the spirit of your post which was spot on.
They do have potential to get better but so do utd, Chelsea and pool and so I am not sure Arsenal will get a better chance than this in next few seasons.
They will if they deserve to though and that’s all that matters

16th April 2023 at 5:09 pm #206209Bruno deserved an assist there but martial let him down. Thankfully for utd they had someone in position to take advantage but it was a great first time pass with left foot from Bruno.

16th April 2023 at 5:14 pm #206210I digress… I think that the Goonies, as good as they have been, have also benifited in a similair fashion (perhaps not quite to the same levels I must admit!) to Leicester back in the day. Yes, they’ve been pretty decent in a lot of gmes, also been incredibly lucky in a few games too, and a lot of teams you would expect to be at the top end of the table are “re-building”…
If they finish top, which they won’t, they’ll have certainly deserved it, but regardless of where they finish, I’ll bet any amount of Monster Munch you want that they’ll get at least 12 points less next season.

16th April 2023 at 5:16 pm #206211I know we all love a good panto villian, but is there a more dislikable player than Bruno?!?!? What a mouthy gobshite, who isn’t actaully anywhere near as good as he thinks he is….

16th April 2023 at 5:55 pm #206214The problem for Arsenal for me is that they are over achieving this season which raises expectations on them I’m not sure they can handle. City can. That’s the difference, and will probably make the difference in the end.

16th April 2023 at 8:41 pm #206216Anthony to Anthony haha 😉
Deserved win for the Devils I must say. Forest look like they’ve just ran out of the quality needed and the extra mileage in the tank (of concentration than physicality) demanded in this league.
No home win for quite some games now and it’s often kick and rush on the counter. No point ejecting Cooper, he should be allowed to see out the remainder of the season.

16th April 2023 at 8:53 pm #206217Well that was a bonus I wasn’t expecting; Arsenal again throw away a two goal lead, which is worrying in itself. Perhaps more worryingly for them: 1) they looked tired in the second half and 2) looked devoid of any idea how to win the game, once pegged back. Perhaps the pressure is now starting to tell.
Is there something in the North London water?_____________________________
