The Newcastle pens were meant to be very soft too.

I find it incredibly frustrating when teams kick us at every opportunity and the ref allows it, and then penalises us for the slightest of contact. Just doesn’t make sense. They must walk off the park knowing they haven’t treated both teams equally.

Alfie, as a neutral, I thought the ref wasn’t at all bad yesterday, in my eyes he let a lot got for both sides and started blowing when things were getting a bit heated… certainly thought he was pretty even in his decisions…

Walker and Stones definitely out. Be a tough test too for City when they meet Real Madrid. I think this season, the squad that’s been utilized throughout this season will take it’s toll. Grealish missed. Will they be too reliant on De-Bruyne and Halaand?

Arsenal have a Great opportunity here for all 3 points.

Meanwhile, Nunez, Diaz and Salah all available. Possible return for Curtis Jones. We need to bounce back from what happened 2 weeks ago which was a real low for Liverpool. Hope for 3 points and Goal Difference.

I also thought the ref at Uniteds game was ok but it’s very different when not watching your own team

I like this line up for today. Gomez is Left-back and has matured being versatile in the defensive gaps that have been needed to fill. Deserves praise.

Quansah I have been impressed but I think he will need to be subbed purely because he doesn’t quite yet have the metal to get through an entire 90 mins.

And I am excited about Macca-Endo-Sobo all on at once I believe for the first time for a while.

Thing is, I just can’t write off Rashford. He is Rashford when he’s placed as an outright Center Forward. Look at the goal versus Man City; no Fluke there. He has caused damage to Liverpool more than once. A real good link up attacking player to accompany him and one last throw of the Die for his career at Man U.

Sean, just seen the Burnley red. Not a pen for me, but again the ref has given that but then needs to be consistent going forward. That’s an old fashioned tussle for the ball, seen those not given week in week out and this is where VAR needs to re ref the games.

The two pens at Newcastle were a joke, Gordon literally jumps in front of the defender both times looking to get kicked. Gordon had no intention of getting the ball.

Half-Time. Wellbeck is a good honest pro and deserved his effort.

Why or why are we not maximizing Diaz, Nunez and Salah on the 3 up top? They are not coordinated and are instead in each other’s way. The 3 behind them therefore often find themselves puzzled as to who to pick out. Man City don’t do this. Their lot sick to their natural playing positions.

Salah has been wasteful so far this afternoon. Quansah is looking up to Van Dijk for experience so he needs to get out of Neutral and into gear.

We should find the winner, but Brighton will make it tough as that’s what they are about.
