Just in case you have seen the chelsea score and wondering if it was same old story of plenty of chances but no composure in final third, no it wasn’t. The starting 11 was fine but our shape on and off the ball was terrible we had no structure off which we could build.
Watch us in the defeat today and compare defeat against defeat vs villa and while they both amount to zero points there is such a regression between games its unbelievable. Our players looked lost today.
It’s already guaranteed lamps won’t be staying on beyond May, trust me 🤣

8th April 2023 at 5:04 pm #205996Didn’t see the first half, only the 2nd, and Brighton got mugged in the 2nd half… let alone what happened in the 1st half… how we are 5th in the table, I’ll never know… still in with a shout, but cover me in floor and bake me for 30 minutes… if we qualify for the CL, we will be the worst team ever….

8th April 2023 at 5:06 pm #205997Yes Ed, the Carroll tackle on Eriksen was awful and not punished. That was at least his second awful tackle in the match as well.

8th April 2023 at 5:10 pm #205998Yeah Chucky it sounded like Brighton were unfortunate today. To be honest, I’m slightly more fearful of them catching us than Spurs, so I don’t mind this result as I think you’ll fall away anyway. No reason why you can’t put a run together though now and challenge still from that position.

8th April 2023 at 5:12 pm #205999Lucky, really? Worse than under Potter? Fully expected a massive performance from Chelsea today.

8th April 2023 at 5:33 pm #206000Well, the disallowed gaol in the 2nd half was correct, it was heading towards the goal, hit the Brighton fella’s arm and diverted it (Hugo should have still saved it, mind you!) and and Hodge-Podge ceratainly made contact with the Brighton fella in the box (unlike the peno given agaisnast us a week or so back!)… really not sure why that wasn’t given as I’ve seen about a million “softer” peno’s given… but even ignoring the key incidents, Brighton played us off the park for long, long, long periods of that half of footy…
Maybe it’s something as simple as having Hodge-Podge and Skippy as the 2 in the middle… and they’re just getting overrun all the time and have no creativity… and 3 at the back is just inviting teams onto us… really think we should be going 4-3-3 or maybe 3-5-2.. need that extra CM I think!

8th April 2023 at 5:34 pm #206001There was a great comment in the Guardian, suggesting the Frank Lampard was a genius due to solving Chelsea’s problem of missing chance after chance by simply getting them to stop creating chances… 🙂

8th April 2023 at 5:41 pm #206002Ed, massively worse.
Gone in to detail on TT before game started and after regards my thoughts on team set up and performance and don’t want to repeat it all, but it was a terrible set up.
All the gear and no idea!

8th April 2023 at 5:47 pm #206003Very concerning Lucky. Has an interim manager ever been sacked before? 😅

8th April 2023 at 5:53 pm #206004Ed, Potter picked the team vs Liverpool and so Potter has won more points for chelsea since he was sacked than lamps has! 🤣

8th April 2023 at 5:56 pm #206005Stellini could be given Wee Frank arun for his money for that dubious “award”… not that we could have got any worse but we looked better when he was “off” and Wee Ryan was being the pointy wavey chap in the box.

8th April 2023 at 6:09 pm #206006I saw sone of tye spurs game. I’ve no idea how spurs are winning games. They are absolutely dreadful. Really bad but today was typical Brighton. Own the game but get nothing from it.

9th April 2023 at 9:00 am #206007Refs seem to be letting far to much go. Howard webs decision to go with the refs decision is causing all kind of problems.
That was a pen for Brighton ydsy. Battle tackles by Everton and mctwoniey kneeing Coleman
Is mctwoniey the dirtiest player in the pl lol

9th April 2023 at 9:48 am #206009McTominay can definitely be dirty at times. Probably should have had a booking. How Garner didn’t see red for this though is crazy.

9th April 2023 at 10:34 am #206010Just judging above Ed, but that was super slow mo and I can only imagine in real time it looks a complete accident.

9th April 2023 at 10:39 am #206011Oh it may well have been an accident Lucky but they’ve shown with the Casemiro red that intention doesn’t matter. Casemiro actually got the ball, too. Garner was nowhere near the ball there.

9th April 2023 at 10:47 am #206012Sure Ed there is no consistency and no defending it any more bud. With VAR we should be seeing more consistency and it seems we seeing the opposite

9th April 2023 at 11:13 am #206013Ed, why are they letting them go? So many this season. Fabhino a few times, mctwoniey Brighton 1st game of season. It seems to be a sending off if higher up the leg but for years that tackle by garner was a straught red? Was he booked?
