Stopped oppo taking a quick free kick and kicked ball away, yellow all day long. Can allow players to act Locke that just because they have already been booked.
Refs just need to be consistent now as it’s not the first time it’s happened this season, but players have previously got away with it.
Title was always City’s, title race over already!

31st August 2024 at 8:12 pm #215457😀 How many hat-tricks and barely 3 games in. I should have ‘Treble Captained’! I’ve gone for the Chelsea guy beginning with M and Palace I’m reckoning will be trounced at the Bridge.
This is The Premier League!
Textbook Striker. I only wish Darwin would get up to speed.

31st August 2024 at 8:51 pm #215458The point of consistency will always crop up; Refs in essence need to keep up, grasp and own it to be able to demonstrate well their own competencies.
Tough Game Tomorrow at Old Trafford and one of Liverpool’s toughest of Matches make no mistake.

31st August 2024 at 9:24 pm #215461I’m not just saying my thoughts for the sake of it; I mean it; you guys will rise. Unless the 2 previous meetings were a one off. Naturally, I don’t know what Slot is about.

1st September 2024 at 8:55 am #215463Stevo, why do you think you were robbed? Absolutely silly from rice. He was absolutely played by veltman. Is it the inconsistency? Pedro should have been bookrd for the same? Was he already on a yellow?
Rice 1st yellow was a dreadful tackle. Hes looking at the man and totally out of control
Thought arsenal were excellent with ten men. What a performance from havertz but rice defo had to go, very surprised he fell for vektmans antics chum

1st September 2024 at 10:04 am #215464It was a silly yellow that ruined the game and came after constant fouling by them that the ref let go all the time so some frustration
There was no one he was playing the ball to fit a quick one it was deliberate and totally kicked rice with no punishment either
Just think it was poor reffing the whole game
That said we didn’t do enough when we had 11
A 2-0 lead we would have held on but that’s life
On we go!_____________________________

1st September 2024 at 10:52 am #215466Cannot see United getting anything from this game Nil and Sean.
Liverpool have been quite organised and disciplined.
United have a good spell for 10-15 minutes and then just look disjointed.
In the past form went out of the window. But in recent times the side in form seems to have got the upper hand. When United have looked disjointed, Liverpool and City have pummeled them.

1st September 2024 at 12:16 pm #215468Sean-
Liverpool started off badly that season. Think they drew 2 games in a row and were in poor form themselves at the time. United played Liverpool at the right time.
We will have to see. I am just not convinced United will get anything from today’s game. Liverpool have got a threatening front 3, United are struggling to create chances and score goals. They do not have anyone clinical.

1st September 2024 at 1:14 pm #215469Sean, agree mate with everything you say re United Liverpool. Rashford dials up on these games.
CM, the month of March is where it was for Liverpool mixture of complacency and injuries finally taking toll. That one moment between Endo and Elliot that Led to the United winner in the Cup Game I think defined our season and shattered our levels of confidence.
We were tipped, in fact, I believed after Nunez’s last minute winner at Forest that we could win the league.
I’m not sure what Slot Ball is. But I have noticed, we were more refined pre-season. This meant for instance, the flow of play was one-touch and not taking too long and over-passing the ball.
Van Dijk though still behaves like he doesn’t want the ball and still makes me nervous when he takes too long on the ball in our own area.

1st September 2024 at 1:16 pm #215470Sean, Haaland I must say is fantastic to watch. In his 3rd season already. He is the complete Striker, World Class. His Balance, movement off the ball and instinctive first touch. This is what I want Darwin to be and he was like that scoring his goals last season at St James’ Park.

1st September 2024 at 2:02 pm #215471Huge game for us, players need to show some mental strength, to get anything out of the game. Need leadership too. Liverpool will have a lot of the ball and we will need to dig deep and work hard, stay organised and wait for chances. Need to be clinical – which we are not good at.
Can see Zirkzee in for Mount, hopefully Garnacho for Rashford. Though ten Hag may take the easy option and bring in Garnacho for Mount. I think a proper 9 will cause Liverpool more issues, especially someone of Zirkzee’s size.
