24th August 2019 at 6:48 pm #46217Adlab, bias or no bias, Utd just weren’t good enough. Ole was the perfect caretaker manager after Mourinho. The perfect appointment to bring back the smiles to a gloomy Old Trafford.
To announce him as permanent boss, though, was the single most amateurish decision Utd have taken post-Fergie. Completely atrocious decision for a club the size of Utd. To then not back him in the transfer market by not strengthening an already weak midfield was criminal.

24th August 2019 at 7:12 pm #46220Deserved winners in the end, who’s knows what would have happened if one or both of those pukka chances in the 1st half went in for the Goonies…

24th August 2019 at 7:31 pm #46221AnonymousThat was really comfortable in the end. I think we got a bit too lax for the Arsenal goal but ya, it’s the points yer after.
credit to Arsenal, they have some firepower. On another day one of their earlier chances (while it was still a competitive match) goes in and we see something very different altogether.
Mane was poor, of course he was my FF captain. I swapped him in for Salah after last week, so the footballing gods are having a bit of fun at my expense 😛
Firmino was both good and “bad”. He had some lovely moments/touches and had he been a teeny tiny bit sharper, he scores but I think there were times when he should have looked for a pass instead of shooting but Arsenal were playing very deep and space was limited. he got creative and it nearly worked for us.
Salah was excellent. He looked focused and that 3rd goal was disgusting. It’s a contender for goal of the month for sure.
3 from 3, everything is great, although hearing that Alisson is not due back for several more weeks (at least), there is a little bit of concern there for me, as Adrian is nowhere near his level. It hasn’t cost us yet but it may do some day soon.

24th August 2019 at 7:32 pm #46222Can’t knock it above all. Best and most enjoyable performance by far so far.?⚽️?
Shame about not finishing with a clean sheet but Arsenal deserved that. Unai slowly is working on their attitude and application not to just crumble and in fairness to them, they made us graft for our win.
Good to see our subs and Milner in particular wanting to fight for every other ball.
3 Points achieved and a thankful and a delightful feeling of being the only team now with a 100% Record ??⚽️?????
Hashtag 30-7-Lost only 1 ?
Cheers ?????

24th August 2019 at 7:40 pm #46223ED, unfortunately, you have a board who know nothing about football
They waste millions on players they did not need, what they needed was a good manager, two good defenders and above all a playmaker
I could add a strong captain on/off field Pogba./ Sanchez purchases in particular cannot have a good effect on the team , especially, when it does not perform. The youngsters show great promise and maybe you should start again from there but you still need a strong experienced player to pull them together. All is not lost after three games, we know, Palace beat us this time last year but Utd management need to start shaping up more than the Manager or players. They set a poor example for a big club thinking they can buy there way out._____________________________

24th August 2019 at 7:50 pm #46226Fergie’s shoes, far too big to fill. Trophies have been won, but it’s not been enough and 3 Managerial changes from 2013 to date otherwise reflects that.
If Solksjaer goes, then who replaces him? Rebuilding involves allowance in time and patience to try and promote stability and breed some form of consistency.
That Palace result today reminded me a little of us when they were coming to Anfield and beating us, ironically the last being a certain Stevie’s final hurrah, 2015.

24th August 2019 at 7:59 pm #46227For once, I’m stopping for the ‘after-party’ in analysis, grrrrr 😛
Redknapp’s seemingly taking a reluctant ‘backseat’ so the other Jamie can keep rabbiting on!
Lol, put a Mute Button On Him – Neville looks a bit Cute haha in that ‘pinkish’ shirt.
I think by the look on Kelly’s face, that was an awkward moment 😉

24th August 2019 at 8:30 pm #46229Haha Mav, I know Mate 🙂
Switched that nonsense off lol. Carragher is one verbal diarrhoea. He wasn’t ‘that’ good for Liverpool as much as he makes himself out to be.
People like him place a poor reflection on Sky as there are some underrated guys when EFL Coverage is on, though not sure on the qualification for Darren Bent, but here we are.
It seems any other Tom-Dick-Harry can enlist themselves a Gig on Sky Sports – dumbed down Big-Time to the Embassy it once was in my humble POV.
Cheers

24th August 2019 at 8:47 pm #46231Mav,
what it is mate, is that a lot of these people scale big in their standard of living.
Whether they buy outright, they still need maintenance money. Either that or just sheer greed.
‘Face-value’ some need after retirement a sense of purpose or fulfilment in their life after Football. Examples in Jimmy Bullard are just Cartoon Mate. Lol, I pay very little attention to them.
It stands to reason the point/logic that WE as Subscribers to Sky Sports are FEEDING THEM.
The Same with TV LICENSE, The BBC for many a year have unfairly placed on the rest of us.
Us Working Class Persons Mav, will always be a Greater Currency.
All we need is Beers, A Single Malt, YOU, I and most important of all, BEEEJAY hahaha 😀 🙂 We’ll Do All Of This Free-Off-Charge 🙂
