Mount and Tammy’s performances plus 3 points are 3 great positives today. Defensively poor again though, but no coincidence the games we conceded 2 and 4 in were without Kante in the side. Rudiger will be massive for us too I think.

To be fair, they didnt play as a pivot, barkley and kocavic played either side of jorginho, playing kovacic a bit deeper may have actually helped in this game.

So early in the season just cant assume anything yet.
The only thing I suggest is that watching Norwich today they may struggle.
Despite being one down I’m sure Utd will win this.
The only thing is but I stand to be corrected as the stream I am watching is poor, I dont think Utd have had one shot on target?

As Palace secured a 2-1 win a fan unfurled a ‘Ta’ra Fergie’ banner.

United’s board remained patient and were rewarded. United’s fans need some patience today.

true. Why would anybody be surprised? United and Chelsea are rebuilding and in the past I’ve seen far more superior in personnel, whatever the position on the pitch.

Whilst I understand Fan’s frustration when results don’t go their way, they need to be careful not to get too sucked into the moment or the furore and be prepared for ups and downs.

Leicester and Wolves are not too far from quality compared to United and Chelsea and you can’t underestimate the capability of these teams. It’s a case of a Decent D+ than a C-.

One will only be convinced on overall signs of improvement when there is consistency and when the Big Boys in Man City and Liverpool are properly tested.

The thinking is a little more intense though if you are a Pacesetter and be aspiring to create distance between you and the chasing pack.
