Bernardoβs post match interview a lot more open and candid then Pepβs rather awkward one.

8th March 2020 at 6:54 pm #82902Ed, long way to go and Chelsea are only 3 points ahead of United and you can’t rule out Sheffield Utd and Wolves either.
Lots of players coming back from could help Chelsea but in a way the injuries have helped too with the returns of Giroud, Pedro and Alonso even Barkley and the emergence of young Gilmour and the form they’ve all shown. Villa away next weekend won’t be easy for Chelsea though.
Going to be really tight imo Pogba to come back for United too I hope the EL might take something out of United and realistically they could win that.
Looks like Ole is secure now though.?

8th March 2020 at 7:02 pm #82906Rashford is a huge miss too Nine. Was having the season of his life and central to everything we did going forward. His absence has been huge.
Yeah still a long way to go and anything could happen. Bookies still favour Chelsea though and I’d tend to agree with that. Certainly wouldn’t be putting my money on anyone at this point though. All those sides in and around 4th have a tendency to lose games they shouldn’t.
People keep saying Ole is secure after these big wins but I’m not so sure. It’s not about these one off games as much as it is about showing progress as a whole. If Utd finish trophyless and out of the top4, we’ve gone backwards and no manager at Utd would survive that. Ole has some outstanding results against the sides above us but the fact we’re still 5th is the crucial thing, not that we’ve done the double over this or that team.

8th March 2020 at 7:32 pm #82922Too pissed off to say anything on Spurs yesterday,if Jose goes in with a defeatist attitude he’ll get more shit performances . He started yesterday with 5 centre backs wtf , yes we have players injured but that was Jose handing Burnley 3 points before we kicked a ball . Only two players earns their wages Lo Celso who must be wondering what he’s signed up for and Dier who has been excellent for the last 3 games , never thought I’d say that .
Jose out_____________________________

8th March 2020 at 8:10 pm #82937Shiney, big game for Jose next weekend he needs a win and he needs to stop moaning about his injuries and just get on with it.
Whatever happens between now and the end of the season I can’t see Jose leaving anytime soon though despite Jose’s faults where Spurs are now go deeper than just Jose imo.
I’m sure Jose will be given the Summer transfer window although how much he might have to spend is open to conjecture and where Spurs are at the end of next season will be the best time to judge him warts and all.

8th March 2020 at 8:31 pm #82949Ed, you capitalised well on Edersons mistakes to day….and City fans would have gone berserk if that had been Bravo. Rashford may have been missed by Utd but the bigger loss was KDB and laporte, however, the team selected should have done better in final third, no excuses. Sterling clearly not ready and should do more training. Otemendi, everybody slates him off but he is the only one we have and always puts in a shift…I know he is not the best in the `Premier but neither the worst
next year, we need a keeper to challenge Ederson, Bravo will be off,2 CBs a decent full back and above all somebody that can put the ball in the net from the chances we create_____________________________

8th March 2020 at 9:08 pm #82965How good was Ross Barkley in the last two games? i have seen him play good one or two games a season and then switch back to his old self. but this last two games has given me hope that he can finally fulfil his potential. and at 26 he is at the right time.

8th March 2020 at 10:41 pm #83006AnonymousAh ya, the league was always done and dusted. I didnt doubt it for a second but now we may win it in Manchester. I wonder if they’d give us a guard of honour? Unlikely Id say but you never know.

8th March 2020 at 10:59 pm #83017Why not Liverpool provided Chelsea with a guard of honour at Stamford Bridge in 2015 its traditional.

9th March 2020 at 7:54 am #83312that was bloody annoying, was hoping city would do us a favour after we scraped a win against the hammers, very unlucky on them, to be fair tho sometimes you need a little luck and to win when playing bad, the fact we still play so bad is a concern tho
3 points is 3 points tho
Bournemouth very unlucky IMHO, watched the game and they really did play well, hell of a clearance by milner!!and spuds scraping a draw
its tight and 4/5th could go to any of 6 teams….

9th March 2020 at 2:31 pm #83472AnonymousYa, TBH I can’t see Leicester finishing in the top 5. They’ve been rubbish since ourselves and City beat them. So, unless they get it together immediately, the hungrier sides below them will easily catch them. It won’t even be close.
I hope Leicester cop on but if they don’t then they don’t deserve to be up here. You could understand them being a bit deflated after they were humbled by the us and City but a wobble sure.. to not be able to get back on track, to not be motivated to claim a CL place, that’s criminal.

9th March 2020 at 3:47 pm #83482Mak…I would be very disappointed if City did not give them a guard of honour and show Liverpool the respect they deserve after a magnificent season by any standard. Can they do it twice now, like City? I think next season will be interesting

9th March 2020 at 5:22 pm #8349427, We won’t get anything against Utd, Bergwjin has been confirmed today as out injured , so it’s either young Parrott up front or Dele who has been awful in that position. Jose will probably play Verthonghen up front knowing the way his mind works !!!!
Levy has already made it very clear that if Spurs miss out on a CL place the transfer budget will be slashed which will wind Jose up , with a bit of luck we might see that back of him as we have no hope of top 4 !!!!_____________________________

9th March 2020 at 6:51 pm #83499I wonder what else can go wrong? Wee Steve out for an “extended” period, Ali and Dier both looking at the prospect of bans, N-Dumb most likely downing tools before we possibly try and flog him on the summer… all that’s left is for Cecil to realize he’s made a big, BIG mistake and follow Sir Harry out the door…
Oh, and it’s YooUtd next, another defeat at our shiny new Spaceship courtesy of something really stupid…
I don’t want to like football anymore…

9th March 2020 at 6:59 pm #83500Shiney, I think Jose needs to give Parrot a go he may not be ready yet but he’s a natural striker and will think and move like a striker.
I think Jose will set Spurs up not to get beaten as we saw against City and hope they get lucky with a breakaway. Those tactics don’t suit United as they like teams to come on to them and hit them on the break. I wouldn’t put any of my money on a Spurs win but stranger things have happened.
Be a significant achievement if Spurs were to finish in the top 4 this season based on where they are and how many teams are in front of them but Kane is out on the training pitches now and if Spurs are still in touch by the time Kane returns to the team I wouldn’t write it off.
With regards to transfer funds I suspect Levy probably made it quite clear to Jose prior to his appointment that the transfer budget would be X if Spurs qualify for the CL and Y if they don’t do I don’t think there will be any surprises there for Mourinho.
I read recently that in a meeting with Spurs fans that Levy highlighted he wants Spurs to bring through their own which of course is no easy task and needs good investment alongside it to give any Club a chance of firstly remaining a top 4 Club and secondly being able to compete with City and Liverpool.
Jose and Spurs never looked a good fit to me but neither is he imo a busted flush and it will be interesting to see how things develop at Spurs next season.
Football aside I hope you’re still recovering well and getting back to where you want to be. Cheers 9’s

9th March 2020 at 7:17 pm #83502on that note 999 do the spuds not have any decent youth? we clearly do, you lot sure do, others have show to but you dont really see it at the spuds, are they not good enough or just not trusted and given the chance
to be fair most big clubs rarely do until this season where things have changed, yours an enforced change but its shown the way
also the likes of dortmnd and others snapping up british youngsters and playing them and showing how good they can be
