Yeah Sean of course it would wind up mate, there no denying that, but I think too much being made of it, and too little being made of the performance his team put in.
If I was him I would have lost my shit too!

2nd April 2023 at 1:53 pm #205792Two things that strike me from this:
1) The or at least one of the coolest of guys was cheesed off and lost it yesterday down to incompetency from the linesman. Salah tussling with Akanji. It was factually a Liverpool throw and instead, that was awarded to Man City.
2) Players and Captains surrounding the Referee in frequency and chipping away. The first player instantly is Bruno Fernandes. Referees eventually lose their own patience and book these players. And in the same breath of all this, when there really is genuine wrongdoing, the team doesn’t get the decision because of all the previous antics that have gone on. Learn to get on with it and let the Referee do his job, but at the same time, we really need good Refs out there who can pose authority and apply the rules fairly.

2nd April 2023 at 3:00 pm #205794Was mutual by sound of it banjo and I don’t think Brendan would have agreed to walk without an opportunity presenting itself elsewhere.
Your thoughts on him bud?

2nd April 2023 at 3:05 pm #205796Just saw he “went”, no idea how “friendly” it was… and I wouldn’t be at all impressed if he rocked up in N17… but according to the cyber fish wrappings, all of my Top 3 won’t be showing up anyway… starting to look like a less than impressive manager, no Harry (and who can blame him?), and who know’s who else might bugger off.. genuinely think if we miss out of Top4, we’re unlikely to get back in it for quite a few years..

2nd April 2023 at 5:01 pm #205798This the most open expansive footy I’ve seen the Bone Saw Boyz play all season… certainly been the better side in the opening 30…

2nd April 2023 at 6:18 pm #205802Newcastle fully deserved the 3 points today. Utd were poor and have been for a few games now. We’ve coped terribly with the absences of Casemiro and Eriksen and there’s no excuse for that. Very much in the top 4 fight again now.

Yes there is Ed, they are a cut above the replacements, let’s face it the best players for you this year have been the new recruits and without them you are a poorer side. No shame in that but I understand if you still think you should have done better these last few weeks

I still think things can change as there are lots of games.
It definitely keeps things ticking nicely as far as interest levels go.

Certainly wasn’t Utd fans saying that Chucky. We were never once in a title race. Nothing we can do about other fans saying that.
Lucky, spot on. With the exception of Antony, who the jury is very much out on, the best players have been Ten Hag’s buys so there’s a silver lining in there somewhere that we’ll hopefully become more consistent the more he’s allowed to shape the team. De Gea’s distribution continues to be a problem for us and prevents us playing anything like the kind of football Ten Hag clearly wants.

Besides, you literally created a thread about how Spurs were going to “take over the world” under Conte. Have some shame Chucky π

2nd April 2023 at 7:17 pm #205811Newcastle were good to be fair and look like they will go on and get top 4.
Was wondering if utd might be at risk of dropping out given absentees but seeing their remaining fixtures it seems they already completed the bulk of the really tough games and I wouldn’t bet against them finishing top 4 considering the remaining fixtures.
