1st April 2023 at 9:59 pm #205758That Tuesday game is anyone’s guess. Could be a bore draw or could equally be 4-4 going by the defensive performances of both sides recently.

1st April 2023 at 10:01 pm #205759If Potter had held out at Brighton, he could have waited for the Spurs job which would have made much more sense for both parties for me.

1st April 2023 at 10:02 pm #205760Agree Sean about Potter. He had a bit of a free ride for a few weeks as the press tend to go easy on the English managers at times I feel but they’ve quickly changed their tune with Potter and been going after him for a while now. The only person responsible for the circus around Spurs is Conte who brought it all on himself. Not only this most recent rant. He’s been coming out with some ridiculous from the first day he went there. People were saying it would end in tears because of the type of character Conte is and that’s proven to be the case.

1st April 2023 at 10:05 pm #205762Agree Mikus. The thing is, that chance may arise again in the summer but Potter would be somewhat damaged by the Chelsea experience by then so would probably be wise to wait for a job with less expectation where he can rebuild his reputation. De Zerbi won’t be at Brighton long, I feel. A return for Potter might nor be the worst idea.

2nd April 2023 at 12:37 am #205766What’s apparent is that Manchester is still in dominance only the colour is blue. Distasteful of Pep and pretty chavvy in honesty over his overzealous celebrations provocative towards Liverpool players during their own warm up routine.

2nd April 2023 at 9:18 am #205774Nil, Iβm actually surprised nothing more was made out of peps celebration in peps face. No word from adlab either about the whole stadiums chanting of always the victims and the team bus being smashed up! Actually hope adlab is doing ok these days.
No excuse though. City were excellent and I still fancy them.
You were right about conte Ed. Iβve no problem admitting I was wrong. These big coaches just canβt do it at spurs.

2nd April 2023 at 9:35 am #205779Sean, when I watched the actual live match, BT showed camera replays, like it was a cup final for Pep. I didn’t think too much of it at the time, and they didn’t draw any further attention to what he actually went on to do i.e. the Liverpool players on the touchline.
I found out from a report from SKY as to what Pep did. Pure distasteful and classless.
I’m losing respect for Man City; they are the worst when they’re losing as their players were physically all over us yet the Ref did nothing. Appalling.
I actually hope they get taken down a peg or two when they face Bayern Munich.

2nd April 2023 at 9:47 am #205781if I were pep I would have been losing my shit with happiness too after such a masterclass.
He had no control over emotions at the time they walked passed him, too much being made of it imo and I would defend klopp if he did same.
To be honest I miss having a prick in charge at Chelsea! π€£

2nd April 2023 at 10:07 am #205783Lucky, Pep goaded Liverpool players during their warm up, unprovoked from a goal celebration. I know Conte was a bit eccentric, but this takes the biscuit.
They were ‘masterclass’ beating a team that’s 7 8th in the table on home soil. We’ve been making up the numbers and the United thrashing was a one off.
Nothing special about us and hasn’t been over 90 minutes. Is there any surprise?!

2nd April 2023 at 10:10 am #205784Proper relegation 6 pointer today; Think Southampton have been showing fight, but West Ham can also turn it on. Should be a good battle.

2nd April 2023 at 10:39 am #205786I think there’s noone more distasteful than Henderson, the way he behaves with officials when he believes the decision was wrong.

2nd April 2023 at 10:51 am #205787Lucky, totally agree on your point re formation. I have been banging that drum a fair few times. You can’t just insist on 4-3-3 against every single opposition.
Gundo and Rodri work well because Gundo can push forward to support KBD, Mahrez and Grealish. As was rightly pointed out, there are other ingredients than just footballing ability such as determination, fight and hunger.
I only saw that y’day from Gakpo, Elliot and Henderson also we lacked quality. Our heads just drop easily and have lost the believe to come back when chasing a lead.
Mikus made a valid point on the other thread about something Klopp instilled into the players when he arrived which was when we were more towards the underdog. A good example was the Dortmund semi-final in Europa League 2016. We’re just over the hill and in resignation now. Some players have to be sold in our RESET and we have to have an overhaul.
I saw a little bit of us in you guys y’day when you played Villa. Jaou Felix and Chillwell look lost and distressed.

2nd April 2023 at 12:31 pm #205790River, ferndez is the worst for me but Gerry was the worst Iβve ever seen in the pl fir getting in refs faces
Ah lucky a manager getting in your face like that would wind you up!
As I said, no excuses. Absolutely batters yesterday. City were exceptional
