I kinda resent the commentators suggesting that Mane has “up’d his game” in order to become potentially our best player. I know they meant well by it but mane has always played at an incredibly high level for us. he’s always fought for us when the chips were down. I’ve noticed that when other heads have dropped in games, Mane will fucking scrap for space or the ball. He’ll drop back when needed and these arent really qualities that are noticed.
now, I know I said I kinda resent it and they then went on to say he was maybe POTY, which is obviously huge respect to him but I wanted to point out that this isnt due to him improving, it’s due to him being him, another year. Mane is fucking awesome and I wouldnt trade him for anyone.

26th July 2020 at 5:55 pm #134714AnonymousHoly shit, that tackle… rightly red card, absolutely disgraceful. He should be banned for multiple.. MULTIPLE games after this. what a horror tackle. The only reacon his leg hasn;t snapped is because he didnt have all his weight on that leg and it gave way.
kick that player out of the game for 6 months of actual league playing time though… shocking.

26th July 2020 at 5:59 pm #1347191-1 at Selhurst Park, so my Spuds are guaranteed EL footy next year… and that’s all she wrote. A rather anti-climactic end to a very strange season. All attention to the transfer window (and my TV is already flashing the 12.09.20 date at me!)

26th July 2020 at 6:00 pm #134720Didnβt see the red card incident but watched quite a bit of that game. Thought Leicester were very poor. Didnβt look like they had anything to play for.

26th July 2020 at 6:04 pm #134723Huge win and absolutely delighted for us to finish on a high.
We had not won on our travels at all since the Restart so from that POV too, it was great to get back to winning ways.
Well, 5 Wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats, and finishing overall on 99 Points with a Club Record too of 32 Victories.
At one point, this season was called out there to be null and void and on the 26th July, 2020, Here We Are. Congratulations Liverpool and Celebrations π

26th July 2020 at 6:11 pm #134728AnonymousLeicester have gone to shit and I’m kinda annoyed with them right now and have been for a while. I had 3 Utd players in my FPL team, so technically I was going for Utd but a part of me of course hoped that Rodgers would show that he can take the pressure but I think he has some development to do as a manager. I respect him but I can not respect Leicesters collapse and the blame lies with him, ultimately.
I’ve felt that Utd have been on their way forward again, the same with Chelsea. I really do hope that we can break this big 2 shit, you might think that as a liverpool fan I would like it but thats not the case. I really hate it. I want to be on top of a more competitive group, so although i dont like utd or chelsea as rivals, I like them as potential top sides again. does that make sense? I hope so.
to go back to Liverpool, Im delighted for 2 things. 99 points and origi scoring a wonderful goal. he’s going to leave and I think it’s correct but a legend like him deserves a good send off. I’ll always think highly of him for that amssive game against barca. We’d still only have 5 fingers if it werent for big performances from a few lads like himself, Wijnaldum, even Shaqiri.. we often forget that we didnt have Firmino and Salah that night due to injury… but those lads stepped up, alongside the usual performers of course.
anyway lads, the season is done, Im a bit sad to see Bournemouth down but Im mostly just disappointed in them. I havent watched them enough to tell you what theya re missing but mas someone else said, maybe it was their purchasing. I dont know if it goes down to that though TBH, maybe Eddie Howe is actually just a shit manager. I think Bournemouth had enough quality to stay up but whatever.

26th July 2020 at 6:16 pm #134734AnonymousTeams whoa re in the opponents box more, will get more penalties than others. I didnt see the incident though… and Utd do get a crazy amount of penos.
anyway Mav, congratz on getting a CL palce, you too Nine. I remember having season endings where we missed out and it really felt like the next season was decided by a failed current one. Back then i cared a lot more and it hurt.
I have always been a CL man, which is odd for a Liverpool supporter. don’t take that the wrong way, I am over the moon with the PL and my focus is to back it up. it’s amazing to put to bed the “ehhhh its yer year next yeaaar” shite.

To be fair, I would have to say you can’t begrudge United. Fully Deserved purely because of their consistency and picking up points.
Cruel for Bournemouth and Watford. Villa got a bit lucky, and maybe it’s a bit of Lottery there, but as far as the Top of the Tree goes, Leicester really had dropped off considering they could have finished as Runners Up had their form been different.
