Perhaps being 1 down is a bit harsh on the Brown Ale Boys, they did create some decent chances along with hitting the post. Spuds certainly got into it more after the drinks break, could have had two if it weren’t for a pretty smart save…
Now, maybe it was me, but I kinda started to see a bit more of a pattern to Spuds play in this half, dare I say a bit of an identity, is perhaps Maureen’s “masterplan” starting to take shape? Kinda got the impression things were a bit more organized in their play and a lot less “confused”…
Or maybe it’s just wishful thinking… 🙂

15th July 2020 at 7:53 pm #129119That should be game over… bit harsh on Brown Ale Boys, that had some decent spells, but for the last 3/4 of that match was one of Spuds better periods of football since the re-start. Interesting to hear what the other Spud-lovers think. They just didn’t look as “lost”… not brilliant, mind you… just not lost.

15th July 2020 at 10:19 pm #129221Liverpool are on holiday already. they were just there for fun. i hope they still continue to be on holiday by the time we visit Anfield. but the Liverpool i knew didn’t turn up for the game tonight. and it’s in anyone guess which Chelsea and which Liverpool will turn up for that crucial for one team and meaningless for the other.

15th July 2020 at 10:28 pm #129229Chelsea man, we totally dominated but that was poor. It really was
I’m sorry stevo mate but arsenal are a very average team at the minute and we gifted them that game
In full control until one mistake let them bsck in then another killed us.
FairPlay to arsenal they defended well and took the two goals well.
Just we had a good few chances but congrats to arsenal. That win will boost their confidence

15th July 2020 at 10:57 pm #129250Given that we’ll be given the trophy straight after the Chelsea game, you’d think we’d want to lift it on a high…

15th July 2020 at 11:13 pm #129261Mikus, taking everything into account with the Pandemic, it’s been a Unique Situation Liverpool have Experienced.
For One, it’s Finally, our First League Title Since 1990. Then we’ve put it to bed early with games to spare, and then we have a situation like every one else where by games are played without Supporters n Crowd.
Those in charge on the Touchline have had to be a little more Self Aware in how they vocally conduct themselves vocally, and above all, the now environment everybody involved is placed in.
There’s a Podium being built on the Kop to prepare us for our Trophy Celebrations, Next Week. The 100 Points has none gone, so I’m wondering whether Klopp can motivate the players at all to pick up with 3 Points Next Wednesday.

16th July 2020 at 4:35 am #129437AnonymousI couldn’t give a smeg about making 100 points. In my eyes the opportunity has gone and there’s a good chance I won’t watch us play again this season.

16th July 2020 at 7:39 am #129534Ah that’s crazy mak mate ?
It’s great to see the passion and how much you care mate. I was very pissed off last night as we are not playing like champions but I’m calm now and will always watch us play
No fans is just desperate. I’ve enjoyed a few games recently but it’s terrible.
I agree nil. Such strange times
Absolutely bizarre times and I can’t feel but it’s a massive anti climax after 30 years
Lifting a trophy in front of no fans is just very disappointing
Maybe the anti climax is because we won the league so early. It’s not like winning a one off final. I was delighted but something is missing. It’s 30 years and I thought I would have felt much more excited then this. Delighted we won it but there really is something missing etc

16th July 2020 at 8:54 am #129576No need to apologise Sean we are bang average! The stats speak for themselves!
But it’s about time we picked up some points being average …. not sure how but as we gift so many goals it’s nice to get w couple given back!
Worries for my team tho
So many changes needed and it’s looking like arteta isn’t as ruthless as he claimed he would be
If I don’t see major changes in defence In the summer then next years another write off …._____________________________
