Southampton are a decent side.
Well Ed you said Chelsea had the easier run in but they have dropped more points and really let utd back in it. Leicester aswell have just let utd bsck in But utd have done really well
I still fancy utd For 3rd as they are playing the best out of Chelsea and Leicester and have an easier run in
?Utd really are in good form and that was a difficult game

13th July 2020 at 10:16 pm #128262No I didn’t say Chelsea had the easier run in Sean. I said they don’t have the difficult run that it’s being made out to be and that we would have probably left it too late to catch them.
I said I thought we’d catch Leicester though which I still think we can.
Chelsea back to slight favourites with the bookies.

13th July 2020 at 10:20 pm #128263Ye well Ed itβs proved to be more difficult then you thought as they are dropping points at places you didnβt expect me aul
ChumI think utd will get as they are playing very very well and Leicester and Chelsea are very up
And down.Big chance missed for utd but thatβs a tough game tonight

13th July 2020 at 10:22 pm #128264Yeah they’re a decent side. Best side to come to OT for a while. Expected a tough game with them beating City but thought we’d still take all 3

13th July 2020 at 10:26 pm #128265Sean and Mak, it’s one game at a time for us fellas.
Chelsea have to focus on trying to beat Norwich tomorrow it’s a must win game and we’re not playing well and making far too many mistakes.
Then there’s an FA Cuo Semi Final v United.
I just wish we weren’t going to Anfield needing points on the night Liverpool get presented with the trophy which may well inspire them.
I’m amazed we’re still in 3rd place tonight but luck has been on our side and the results have gone for us over the last couple of days hopefully we can take advantage of that. Cheers 9’s

13th July 2020 at 10:31 pm #128266Ed, utds atts i is scary these days mate. Martial looks so much hungrier these days
Southampton really have bounced back after the 9-0 trashing by Leicester. They really are a tough team to play. Manager has done a very good job there

13th July 2020 at 10:35 pm #128267Ed, tricky game Southampton are a decent team at least you took 2 more points at home v Southampton than Chelsea did.?
Romeu should have walked it was a terrible tackle.

13th July 2020 at 10:38 pm #128268Chelsea have a leaky defence, the worst in the top 10, which is worrying.
Rodgers is still tactically naive for me at Leicester.
Man Utd look the form team at the moment but it is only just that, good form._____________________________

13th July 2020 at 11:55 pm #128277And so the last chance for footie to preserve any credibility, rather than just be seen as a shambles of cynical bastards with their snouts in the trough has been thrown away.

14th July 2020 at 8:07 am #128280Unfortunately not Moos. We got screwed over by VAR. Romeu escaped a clear red card. Would have loved a controversial pen to send twitter into meltdown

14th July 2020 at 8:12 am #128281AnonymousThat’s a red card offense.
Sean, we don’t have to agree but it’s in this period as we’ve come close to confirming and post-confirmation of the PL title that we’ve lost almost every single point this season. We definitely had good spells and even played well in general for some of these matches but if we were that great, we’d have won the games.
Let’s see how it goes but I’ll tell you this right now, we won’t set a new PL points record.

14th July 2020 at 8:55 am #128283Ye fair enough mak.
If we donβt get 100 points, it wonβt bother me
Iβd like to beat 97 ftom last season. If any team misses the fans, itβs us
Klopp whips the fans up and they drive us on

14th July 2020 at 10:47 am #128284The points record is just the icing on the cake winning the title after 30 years was the most important thing in what has been a very difficult season with Liverpool being almost impeccable throughout.

14th July 2020 at 11:55 am #128288The points are still achievable and I believe the Liverpool team want them

14th July 2020 at 1:13 pm #128291I think the Arsenal – Liverpool game is crucial in this regard. Arsenal taking any point(s) off Liverpool means they can’t get the record so will take away any remaining reason for Liverpool to be totally up for this game. Liverpool beat Arsenal tomorrow and we could see Liverpool have one final push for that record points tally.

14th July 2020 at 1:44 pm #128293Pep’s and City’s 100 points mark can be matched with 2 wins and a draw which I’m quite confident of that happening. I don’t think we’ll surpass it (hope I’m obviously proven wrong), but I’d be thrilled if we match it.
If (and a big If) we get up to 102 whether this will be matched anytime soon.
It’s been a weird situation because we’ve experienced this the first time in PL history of being champions and we did it with games to spare. With nothing else in tow, you then ask where you find those levels of motivation and what do you have to aim for?
The Record would cap off a unique season of achievement for us. Hope It Will Be.
