17th June 2020 at 6:45 pm #118563Real poor Sean. City v Arsenal looks more promising, fingets crossed. ?
Have you tried with the crowd noise on Sean as 67 said earlier it makes for a much better watch albeit it’s not what the players are hearing.

17th June 2020 at 7:56 pm #118613Stevo, if you go to the Pick channel on the Sky TV guide I think you will find the game is available free of charge.

17th June 2020 at 8:53 pm #118653Hawk-eye Innovations, who run the technology, after the match read: “During the first half of Aston Villa v Sheffield United match at Villa Park, there was a goal line incident where the ball was carried over the line by Aston Villa goalkeeper, No. 25 Nyland.
“The match officials did not receive a signal to the watch nor earpiece as per the Goal Decision System (GDS) protocol. The seven cameras located in the stands around the goal area were significantly occluded by the goalkeeper, defender, and goalpost. This level of occlusion has never been seen before in over 9,000 matches that the Hawk-Eye Goal Line Technology system has been in operation.
“The system was tested and proved functional prior to the start of the match in accordance with the IFAB Laws of The Game and confirmed as working by the match officials. The system has remained functional throughout. Hawk-Eye unreservedly apologises to the Premier League, Sheffield United, and everyone affected by this incident.”
Strange VAR didn’t get involved.

17th June 2020 at 8:53 pm #118655It’s definitely better watching it with the crowd noise. Really is a strange experience. Totally different watching experience.
City beginning to look good!

17th June 2020 at 9:16 pm #118670I know Im going to sound like a predictable pain in the arse but having watched some of the Villa game and the first half of the City game, even though we are one up, the match is like a glorified training game. Perhaps we will get used to it?
Whats missing is the home crowd urging the team forward, pressurising the ref, booing a foul.etc etc.
Of courss I understand the circumstances and its the best they can do. The issue for me is I’ll watch the City games but I have little interest in watching others whereas ordinarily I would.
It what we’ve got. Finally well done Rachford putting that charlatan to shame.

17th June 2020 at 9:27 pm #118679Adlab…it may ‘seem’ like a glorified training game but it’s not. It only seems like it as a viewing experience.
As I write City go 2 up. David Luiz really is a liability, isn’t he? What a dick!

17th June 2020 at 10:05 pm #118708You’ll never change David Luiz he’s good player with the ball at his feet but a potential liability defensively.

17th June 2020 at 10:21 pm #118720City man of the match…..D Luiz!
What did you all think of the experience watching this?
My conclusion. The best we can hope for given the circumstances. It shows how important the support is to the game. Much more than most of us would have thought._____________________________

18th June 2020 at 7:25 am #119077AnonymousI don’t believe that goal should have been given as the keeper had the ball under control outside the goaline and was bundled over the goaline by another player irrespective of what team the other player belonged too. Villa were anyway the better side.

18th June 2020 at 8:22 am #119115Adlab, it was just bizarre. Didnβt enjoy it at all. I would usually watch any game under the sun but i think I will stick to liveroool games. The fans make football and itβs just no weβre near the same even with the noise
Arsenal were arsenal. Absolutely shite and riddled with mistakes.
Bizarre team selection with better options on the bench.
City got going after 30 mins and played some lovely stuff

18th June 2020 at 8:52 am #119135I quite enjoyed the City game but they play good football and Arsenal gave it a go for the first 30 minutes. It’s obviously weird without a crowd but we’ve got to get used to it as this could be the way it is beyond these final 9 games. Best hope is limited fans sometime next season.

18th June 2020 at 9:38 am #119166Started with some of the Villa/United game, had a real hard time watching it due to the atmosphere. It was bad enought watchign ze Jarmins but at least the commentators were English, the English have Finland’s eqivualent of Jonathon Pierce commentating, and when he get’s excited, it’s very hard on the ears…
Couldn’t handle the Moneybags/Goonies game at all.
But at least the results went my way! π
